This was my first time dining here. I was with two friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. This place was really cute, and the setting along the water is gorgeous.I ordered the fried green tomatoes, which were tasty and beautifully plated. The shrimp and grits were good, but I would've enjoyed them much more if they weren't excessively doused in the butter sauce. My friend ordered the brussel sprouts, which were to die for!Several employees came to our table when we arrived for drink orders. All seemed friendly, however we felt rushed towards the end of our meal. There were plenty of available tables, so no one was waiting to be seated or anything. Our server just came over and gave us the check without even asking if there was anything else we wanted. Never checked on us for refills or offer the dessert menu. In fact, we asked her for the dessert menu after she gave us the check, and although the banana pudding sounded good, we felt like maybe our service would've been appreciated elsewhere.
My siblings and I were looking for a place to have our monthly dinner. We were looking for somewhere near the water with an interesting menu selection and we found it at Cindy Lou's. EVERYONE LOVED their meal and their drinks. I absolutely loved the location. I tasted everything but the raw oysters (just not a fan yet). I wish I could list everything we ate, but there was too much on the table with appetizers, bread basket (loved the cornbread). The trout with grits is a new favorite (no bones). The huge pork chop with kale slaw and sweet potatoes with a mustard sauce, was so good. Some had soup, smoked salmon, rock fish bites, etc. I don't have room to discuss the desserts but they were delicious too! The restaurant staff was just as engaging and pleasant. Our waitress was FANTASTIC and fun and the siblings who arrived early talked about the easy and pleasant time they had at the bar. These sibling dinners are so important and atmosphere is everything - Cindy Lou's did not disappoint. We had a very relaxing evening. . . Hoping to see a southern bean dish in the fall.
Well....we had the Richfield Farms Carrot Soup, Fried Brussels Sprouts, Wild Rockfish Bites, Crab & Avocado Toast, Oysters on the Half Shell, Roasted Beets & Watercress, Seafood Chowder and a deluge of adult beverages - all delicious. However, even though the menu and decor stood up well on their own, we were very very disappointed at the way we and our invited guests were treated; for them, their first time there. Sadly it appeared that our service "deliberately" was not up to par and furthermore, our request to chat with the manager was ignored. Bartenders who appeared to exhibit over-exertion went from satirical to cynical to flat out rude. In some cases, it even felt like they imposed a kind of portion control, assessing how other patrons appeared to handled? Will stop here. Didn't think we would need to go into this fine dining experience hoping for the best....
This is my first time at a Cindy Wolf restaurant. I was not disappointed. Everything on the menu looked good and my family and I ordered everything. Our server was awesome and very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The music was fantastic! We were here for my sister’s birthday and she was extremely happy with the experience. Unlike me, she was familiar with Chef Cindy Wolf and was completely satisfied!
Cindy Lou's was an absolutely wonderful experience. The pancakes were some of the best I've ever had. The scenery was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.
Disappointed! We had high expectations for this restaurant given the people behind it. The location is great, but then you go inside and you feel like you're eating at a hotel bar. We love southern food, but this night's food had no love. The shared snack plate was not good. The ham felt like grocery store deli ham. The biggest disappointment on the plate and throughout the dinner were the biscuits. Dense and dry. The fried chicken was dry and the coating grainy. Brussel sprouts were greasy. The bread oudding lacked flavor. And Everything lacked salt. 4/4 of us at the table agreed this place was not worth the price. The only good part of the meal was my cocktail (Potomac moonlight) and the service was fast and staff were friendly. Definitely will not be coming back or recommending.
The night views… you literally have to see them to understand the levels to the beauty that is Baltimore. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to really live life. My photos do not do it justice.I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, HH and have cork in and worked at the bar/lobby area. The staff is always prompt and sim to please. The food is overall 3.5-5 most days but the drinks are always good. Ambience is amazing. Located at the water’s edge and makes for the absolute best views. This is one of those places you could chose for a laid back eve or a place to propose.
Wonderful sea view and cozy fireplace. Trout was delicious. Friendly staff and great service. There’s also a lounge with pool table next to the restaurant.
The food and drinks were delicious, and the ambience was lovely as well!
Good food with an incredible view. The service was excellent first time eating here and in Baltimore I highly recommend this spot.
