I ordered the Almost famous Buffalo wings, cheesesteak egg rolls, and the summer peach salad-AFRAM restaurant week item. The burrata cheese on the salad is to die for. It was so creamy. I needed more. The wings are tasty and cooked perfectly. The blue cheese paired well with it. You can tell it's homemade blue cheese. Initially I did not like the egg roll shell that the rolls were made with. There was a weird taste and they are kinda hard (everything is baked, not fried), unlike traditional egg rolls. Maybe coupled with the cheesesteak and sauces, I stopped noticing it. Sweet Chilli and pepper jack dipping sauces come with the rolls. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Will definitely return. Located inside of the market, metered street parking.
I don't exactly know what is going on but it's either the chef or owners changed.The food got noticeably worse. not as delicious anymore. Also, sucks seeing people preparing your food with bare hands and using their cell phone with same hands.I don't see myself taking out food anymore
We wandered into the Mt.Vernon Marketplace located at the SW corner of Maryland Ave and Center St. yesterday for lunch. All the menu items looked tempting so we decided to share.We tried the pork empanadas, the cheesesteak French dip, and the cheesesteak spring rolls. All were great, hot, well presented and each with its own broth or sauce. Nice portions too. Clean tables nearby, not too loud, A memorable lunch, we will be back.
Food was excellent. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. Service was great and friendly.
First-time customer. Had the best French dip here. Bread was perfect, just the right amount of Gruyère, and the au jus was piping hot. The perfect meal for a chilly night. Chicken empanadas were bangin’, too. Will definitely be back.
I have had the cheesesteak eggrolls and buffalo wings. Both were delicious and I definitely recommend dropping in if you’re in Mt Vernon Marketplace.
I was in the neighborhood and had been meaning to stop in and get some of the great food that this chef and DJ has been ‘mixing up.’ I got an order each of the cheesesteak egg rolls, empanadas and pretzel dog bites to share with my coworkers before a concert. It was the perfect snack for all of us before a long night. Everyone loved every bite. I don’t think we could choose a favorite. Gotta make me way back through soon! Thanks Mike!
Amazing vegan chicken parm! And although vegan, lives up to their namesake. Super cheesy and delicious. The marinara was spot on, too. Delicious food, and friendly service. Can’t wait to return!
Food was so fresh and delicious!! I had the cheesesteak egg rolls and buffalo wings. Both were off the hook. My wife had the vegan cheesesteak and she could not believe how good it was. She actually thought she was eating meat. ?
