7/7/2022: Loved this cute tiny spot!! It gets busy and they only offer outdoor seating. Arrived around 7a and picked up a ham and cheese croissant, creme brulee, and quiche Lorraine. So rich and flaky delicious.

Some of the best pastries i have ever had. We had the ham and cheese crescent, veggie quiche, blueberry cheesecake muffin, matcha pistachio pastry, mango passion fruit danish, raspberry lychee danish. We loved everything but our least favorite was the blueberry cheesecake muffin. It was not very sweet at all.

This cafe is really like what other reviews say. it is wonderful! The blueberry cream cheese muffin had nice mixture of blue berries and those sweet cream cheese - i only wish they put more cream cheese in, not just on the corner side of the muffin. but it prob would make the muffin 1000 calories if they put more cream cheese in.The (hot) cafe latte had very rich coffee after taste. yumTheir croissants looked flaky and full of life. unfortunately the lady in front of me bought the remaining two and left nothing for me (tears in my eyes). If i ever come back to Baltimore, this is my must be back place for the croissants.p.s. Like one of the reviews commented, the hospitality may benefit some improvement. But, the staff was not unfriendly or anything. I placed my order and they processed my order correctly. And i am from New York. Since their bakery and coffee were so good, their “not-unfriendliness” did not bother me at all.

I went there on a slower day, so I didn’t have to wait in line ? anyways got the crab and egg salad sandwich and it was great! Also they have the best iced mocha i have ever had from a lone cafe/coffee shop. It’s a cute cafe next to a little tiny park and i enjoyed the vibes.

Seriously one of the best places I’ve ever shopped at. I had the ham and cheese croissant and it was absolutely fantastic. So delicious with an incredible cheese flavor. It was so decadent. I also had the everything Focaccia bread that was also out of this world. I had it with a mocha latte that also didn’t disappoint and was different and yet better than any other one I’ve had. After months and maybe a year of hearing how good this place was I finally got to try it and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Usually when we visit Baltimore, we go to Ovenbird (which is still worth a visit!). On a recent trip, we decided to an equally-rated-well bakery in Canton called Cafe Dear Leon. It's a small bakery among a commercial strip and park that releases different pastries at certain times Wednesday through Sunday. We went on a January Sunday at around 10:30 a.m., waiting in line in the cold (worth it!).Although a long line, it moved fast. As I waited for 30 minutes, someone came out with little cups of free hot chocolate. (Oh, wow- among the best hot chocolate I've ever had!)Once inside the little shop, it was quick to order pastries and head out. To feed a family of three with extra food at the end, I ordered an almond croissant, chocolate croissant, kouign and hazelnut focaccia. Each was good, but the almond croissant and hazelnut focaccia took the cake. The hazelnut focaccia is made with roasted hazelnuts, goat cheese, mozzarella and honey. It's a good balance of savory and a tad sweet. Our four-year-old daughter really liked the kouign! They also have a full coffee menu.

I frequent this place a lot, as it’s walking distance to my house but even if it were somewhere I had to drive to, I would keep returning to Cafe Dear Leon. There are a lot of places in the city that have good pastries/ baked goods & coffee program, but what really sets it apart from other places is the customer service. The people are just so friendly and welcoming, always up for a chat, and don’t make you feel stupid for asking questions. There’s a reason there’s always a line here. Don’t be scared off. It moves quickly!

Everything is good! I especially enjoyed the tamago sando.

Way better than any coffee shop I’ve been to lately. Quick, strong coffee & espresso drinks, and simply delicious food. Since the food is already on display in the case, if it’s there, it’s yours. Get there early if you’re trying to snag one of the absolutely amazing egg salad sandwiches. They sell out quick.

Always amazing! Delicious sandwiches, pastries, coffees and more. Great service. Worth the wait times. The Tamago Sando is next level!
