Below average food and service. Great location. The location is the only reason this restaurant survives. I really wish I’d gone somewhere else. Personally, I’d recommend going to Pitangos Bakery and Cafe on Ann and Thames. It’s incredible. Truly.
The hostess weren't friendly at all. It was a perfect spring day on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. We asked about a table outside under the awning and got a rude response from both hostesses. We ended up sitting outside and that was nice since the weather was perfect. They only have tables of 4 so they added a seat to the end of the table for our 5th person. That was kind of weird. The waiter made up for all of the craziness dealing with the seating. The menu was all brunch food which was interesting sent not expected for a Friday afternoon. The hash browns tacos were delicious. I would go back.
Went to Maryland to see a friend. We were hungry, thirsty, and it was lunch time...TRIFECTA!!! So we made our way to Fells Point and ended up at BarCocina. Its and inviting place with nice decor and PLENTY of outdoor seating. Lots of people watching to be done here and water views as well. We were seated promptly and met by our server in about 7 mins., not bad for the crowd there. The food was good, the drinks I had were excellent. All around the service was good as well. If you find yourself in Fells Point and are looking for a good indoor outdoor place to munch, give this place a spin.
Barcocina is such a vibe. Right on the water, this place is great for any occasion. We went to this restaurant 3 days in a row because we so much enjoyed ourselves! Pictures are in order from best to worst plates and tacos. The shrimp pasta was amazing and so is the calamari. Their best tacos are definitely the roasted brisket and Peruvian chicken. Skip out on the charred steak (ours was bland and very tough, even tho it was medium rare) and the kung pao shrimp tacos are a hard pass (overcooked shrimp). Overall an incredible place to dine!
Hamburger tacos and the corn bread. Sagamore black eyed rye
My brunch event for 31 people went off without a hitch even after I asked for a last minute menu change. The planner Jackie and CJ went above and beyond to make our meal memorable and delicious! Look no further if you are trying to plan an event with water views in an outstanding location in Fells Point- you will impress your guests with this one!!!!
Awesome tacos - loved the duck tacos. Also the chips and salsa and guac were delicious and you get A LOT of guac, which is always a plus. The margaritas were really good - the apple pie Marg really tasted like apple pie without being over bearing. Serves did a nice job too, checked in often but not too much! Oh and can't forget the lovely view of the harbor - I'll be back!
Tried out Barcocina for the first time for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint!! Make sure you grab the elotes dip to start, it was so good we had to order more. You absolutely can't go wrong with the tacos, they have a great variety and they are all incredible! Miguel was a great server and kept the drinks flowing for us . (bottomless mimosas are only on the weekdays but regular drinks here are strong/cheap) We will definitely be back!
Since moving to Baltimore, I've always loved going to Barcocina for both the food, experience, and location. We decided to book our rehearsal dinner and welcome event here and it exceeded our expectations. We had the entire back room, tons of food, the staff was incredible, and had a great time. I've come to Barcocina for brunch, lunch, dinner, and a night out - it never disappoints. I don't usually write reviews but they definitely deserve it :)
Great brunch restaurant! Views are beautiful ?
