A hidden gem! We were looking for a local coffee shop near our air B&B and came across this place. Funny enough we drove past this location multiple times before and didn’t realize it was a little cafe! They had some shaded options for sitting outside and inside seating. I had a breakfast sandwich and a latte and everything tastes good.
The people are great and the space is a neat rustic theme. I give 4 stars just because I paid $6.30 for a pour over black coffee. This is a little overpriced. For the same price there are nearby coffee shops with more unique options that are priced better. I am a little confused though because their website menu says $5.00. Maybe this was just an accidental mistake. It is definitely a place worth checking out and coming to your own conclusion.
The best espresso and coffee drinks in Baltimore, and my favorite breakfast sandwiches in town, as well. The wait times are super long so I recommend ordering ahead of time and picking up. If you’re getting a milk-based coffee drink, a warning that their oat milk has a pretty strong oat taste. I’d go with a dairy milk if you can.
Can I start with the perfect biscuit egg sandwich with greens or the flavors in the cardamon mocha late? Or maybe the selection of vinyl records that are played that are perfectly curated for the space? The list can go on and on! If you haven't tried Artifact place it on your list right now and enjoy!
I am always looking out for breakfast places in Baltimore. Unfortunately there aren’t many great spots. But finally I found one. We came here from the city and it was totally worth it. The Vietnamese spiced coffee was very different but delicious. The latte was fine, they should provide almond milk option as coffee generally doesn’t go too well with oat/soy milk. Try their egg and cheddar sandwiches, we wonder if they used Ghee to bake their sandwiches as they were absolutely delicious. I am gonna come here a lot of times.
I like to take my computer here for a nice work day. There is a nice, cozy dining area and breakfast bar setup at the back of the shop as well as outdoor seating. They have really good teas and pastries here with some nice food options, but if you like meat, there's not much outside of chicken salad. Whenever I go here, I come with something heavier on my stomach already. If you prefer vegetarian/vegan options, they have a decent selection.
This is a delicious little spot in the Hampden area. The staff are nice and very helpful. I ordered a regular latte and a golden milk and both were very good. The espresso they use is really nice and has a pleasant dark flavour but not too earthy. The shop itself is in a very old building and it has a nice vibe to it when walking in. From the old stone walls and wooden floors to the records they play, it’s an overall great place to grab coffee. I have had some of their savoury and sweet pastries they offer and they are very tasty. I recently had linch and ordered a beef drip which was so good. Overall great place.
Good coffee, great food. But no where to eat it. Very limited space w Covid restrictions (this was a month ago so maybe they’ve since been lifted), but we had to eat in our car. We had the Kale pesto sandwich and breakfast sandwich, both were good (esp the kale). Will come again if I can avoid peak hours!
Absolutely love! Parking lot on site. Indoor seating with beautiful natural light to set the mood & ample Covid-friendly outdoor seating. Helpful staff. Food was delicious and tasty cappuccinos (they have oat milk!) Def will return!
Nestled next to an overpass and a decaying Pepsi factory, there stands an unsuspecting brick building with a hanging sign inscribed with the letter A on it. An A for Artifact, or perhaps the A is meant to embody the establishment's aspirations of setting the highest of standards for themselves. The word artifact means, an object made by a human being, typically an item of cultural or historical interest. And that is precisely what the makers of this establishment have done. Artifact Coffee is culturally important to Baltimore, but historically their commitment to farm to table and culinary excellence is extraordinary!Every time I sit down to eat and drink here, my senses are heightened to the fact that I am consuming REAL food and the best representation of that thing. I am not alone, neighborhood birds swarm the powerlines praying to whatever gods birds pray to that some person will drop a crumb of delicious sandwich bread from this hangout spot. Not only is the food and beverages good, the people who work here are extensions of the establishment. I am genuinely grateful when I get to come in and see familiar faces, and they are always patient as orders are being conceptualized in the minds of patrons. The menu can be for some daunting which is a hilarious thing to contemplate given that it's printed on a double sided piece of paper. But you will want to take in every single thing before making your selection.Artifact has given me over the years a deeper appreciation for the complexity of a cup of coffee and a surprising admiration for the deliciousness of vegetables. I am forever grateful for the memories I have built here, and I sincerely hope that Artifact outlives me to become a ripe old fossil. :)THANK YOU
