So I’ll be honest, I came to this tavern hoping to pick up some Edgar Allan Poe merch because the museum was closed the day I was in town. They only really had merch for their tavern. BUT! The food was good, the drinks were better, the place was charming, and I’m absolutely going to come back the next time I’m in Baltimore! I’m recommending this place to all my friends! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it certainly looked like the gift shop they had would be more stocked, and more diverse instead of tavern merch. Oh well. I still loved it!
I live around the corner and have yet to come here. After sitting down, the waiter spills water on me...a bit. Oh well.I am there for great food and we are all human. I decide to get munchies instead of a meal. Holy cow.ALL of it was immediately having me want to go back for more. The photos below are in chronological order and I am eating, not slowly, as I go.The prices are very reasonable for the portions; especially given the quality.Idk if it is a 10/10, but it is a 9/10 and could be.Definitely coming back and I think you should come check it out too neighbors!- Your Friendyl Neighborhood Odd Job Jones
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town! The food and drinks are always delicious, staff is helpful and attentive, and lots of the menu seems to be sourced locally. Highly recommend you check them out during restaurant week for a comprehensive and affordable three course dinner!
Great little corner establishment. Opened at 4pm on Saturday. Food was pretty good. Southwest risotto was a real risotto and the Mac and cheese was homemade but what really made this place special was the classic music and the great artwork everywhere dedicated to Poe and Baltimore. The wait staff was on point with keeping up drinks and conversation (tavern style :)). I loved it.
One of a kind restaurant very inspiringExcellent service and food and drinksAll the decorations were on point as we went back in October. They have a special menue almost daily I would say and special Thursday date night too.The theme itself is amazing! Will go again in Poe’s birthday this year.
I love the decor and the service is incredible. The food was super mediocre. My friends chicken was overcooked and tough. The vegetables in the shrimp curry I had tasted like they were frozen. The appetizer of brussell sprouts was good. I was hoping for a lot more from the food. Go for the service, the cocktails and the vibe.
Everything is amazing. Best espresso martinis in town. Yeah, I said it. Michael and Tony’s service was unbeatable. Try the mac and cheese!
Always incredible food. Delivery is fast and food arrives fresh and hot. Can’t say enough about Annabel Lee!
Food was rich and delicious; cocktails were brave and creative; staff was very friendly and enthusiastic.
Cute place! The Vibe was great! The bartender was awesome! Edgar Allen Poe Theme and neat set up
