A five star experience for sure! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’ve heard all the accolades about this place, including the Washington post, so I decided to check it out for myself. I don’t live nearby (in dc area) but made the hour drive, In rush hour, to get here at a decent hour. They open at 5. I got there a little before 6 so I was able to take advantage of their happy hour. The selection for happy hour was small. I opted for the daiquiri off that menu and it was amazing! Only $6 so that was a great deal. I ordered the Latin gyoza, which I heard great things about, and was blown away. It had sweet plantain, bacon, sofrito and cotija cheese with a ginger tamirind soy sauce and seaweed fritters! I ordered another cocktail that was fantastic too. For my main course, I went with the paella. Absolutely incredible! It had Argentinian shrimp, octopus and scallops. Ended with churros for dessert. Overall, An incredible experience with great service. Charlie, my bartender, was fantastic! I can’t recommend this place enough. Definitely worth checking out!

The best restaurant in Baltimore!! People complaining about the portions seem that have never been in a fine dine restaurant before. It it’s not about the quantity but quality.Cocktails are amazing, and service is great!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in the DMV area. Everything about them is wonderful from their beautiful external facades to their calm peaceful decor indoors....the huge plants indoors make it looks like a nursery it's absolutely gorgeous. Before I talk about the food, I want to say that the service was truly pleasant. They picked a great crew who are accommodating and really nice. The food was different and diverse enough to satisfy different palates from vegetarian to gluten free.. There's something for everyone. The Tostones Playeros with passion fruit coleslaw is such a simple and sophisticated appetizer. The duck was cooked to perfection. The octopus was the tastiest we had in a while. The presentation of all plates was artistic. They do have a private room for special occasions and I wish I had picked it for my wedding rehearsal last year! The place was conviently located near Penn station which was a plus as we are from DC. We walked down from the station and it was right there at the corner. Great location!Really happy with how everything turned out and how positive the experience has been. This is definitely going to be my to go to place for every occasion or for when am in Baltimore. I am going to make reservations for this weekend again.Thank you all for making my birthday special.

Omg, that food was so good!! Everything we ordered was a hit. We came for restaurant week and ended up ordering half the menu and stayed for hours. We met the owner and she was warm and friendly... literally her hands were so soft and warm when she thanked us for coming ?. The ambiance is nice, earthy, tropical, cozy. What we ordered :-Red Snapper cevice-Duck breast-Paella-Cassava bread-Grilled octopus- Pulled pork arepa-Tres leche-Dark cloud dessert (chocolate mousse)* might be missing something else*The paella was super flavorful! I usually stay away from it because it always just taste like rice, but THIS, was amazing! I also enjoyed the duck with the mushrooms and sauce. The grilled octopus was really tender and they had a nice cilantro sauce that was delicious ?

My favorite restaurant in Baltimore. I’ve been here 3 times, every visit is stellar. The staff is always attentive and they know their menu well. The food is absolutely delicious, the red snapper ceviche and the prime ribeye are standouts and repeat orders. I love to try new food and even when I love places a lot of times I either keep moving through the menu or I never return but Alma is a staple of mine. Can’t recommend it enough.

Food presentation is on point! Glad we came for restaurant week, food was amazing, staff was friendly and attentive. great ambiance!

Wow. Great experience from start to finish. Glad we made a much needed reservation. Food was great: arepa, fried yucca, gyoza and branzino. Everything very tasty and well-presented. Service was present without being overbearing. Had nice chat with owner as we were leaving; she couldn't have been nicer

On Sundays they do a prix fixe menu only. The burrata, Latin gyoza, chicken and octopus are delicious. They make a fantastic margarita also.

Everything we got was so good, like top 3 meals I've ever had in my life. We shared three appetizers, an entree, and a bottle of wine and spent $150- which was definitely worth it. The amount of food we got was filling and staff was super friendly and attentive.

Great ambiance, excelente service and outstanding gourmet proposal for a Venezuelan base cousine.
