The burger and chips were good. The burger patties were a little dry and would be better if they were juicier. We were supposed to pick up our burgers at 7:45 PM but the food was not ready yet and we had to wait 45 minutes. I ordered from GrubHub and the staffs did not see my order? And there were not many customers in the restaurant. This is no different than going to the store and ordering. I hope the staff can improve.
Always loved the burgers here. Hadn’t been in a while because the service was poor the last couple times and it was really, really bad again. I don’t understand what it is about this place but it is evident there is no leadership. It’s clear that The staff is not getting the proper training when they are hired. Guest experience needs to be a priority here. Should have a manager on the floor running the shift at night/peak times. Repeated bad experiences like this over time makes me think this is coming from the top. Need better leadership and coaching on the employees.
If the burgers weren’t so good I would never eat here. The food is good but the service is abysmal. My order came back incorrect, and it was not the first time this happened. It was a carry out order and one wait staff brought the food and promptly walked away without asking if I wanted anything else or the check. And another walked by me several times and interacted with other customers as if I weren’t there. No one there was present to me, and made my time there double what it should have been. Worse yet, the restaurant was not crowded. Good burger, but the price of the service is too high
Walked out before ordering. Staff had apparently just got “hit hard” and were recovering. We would have been fine with excusing some delays while they regrouped. However, it became impossible to stay and maintain self respect after two separate bartenders were incredibly condescending to us…because we made the sin of enquiring whether we needed to order at the bar or wait for a waitperson. “Dude, you gotta give us a minute…” after having waiting at a table for 15 minutes with no hint of any guidance on what to do and gently enquiring about some help. I guess it made them feel better to take out their frustration on a customer and make us feel like we were demanding something unreasonable from them. In the end the waitress was very nice, but we felt humiliated. Seemed understaffed and bartenders give off a “too cool for school “ spoiled kid, hipster vibe. Maybe just a bad night, but when you have a rare opportunity to go out to dinner with your spouse in the midst of an incredibly busy life of kids and career, being condescended to is unacceptable and dispiriting. Second time in my 54 years I have ever walked out of a restaurant. Really disappointing.
“I rarely write reviews, but this place is so terrible it’s ridiculous. My husband and I have been here on 5 different occasions and every time has been such a disappointment. Sure the burgers are pretty great, but their service is terrible. They’ll sit us down and then promptly forget about us. On multiple occasions we have had to call our server over because they don’t ever come. Wether that be to take our order, ask us if we needed anything, or even to take the check. I understand there being a shortage of workers, but every time we’ve gone there have been a maximum of five other customers in the restaurant. The servers are either scrolling through their phones, messing around with their co workers, or just not present. I don’t think we’re ridiculous customers, we’ve both worked in the customer service industry for over 5 years. We know sometimes servers have a bad nights, but going multiple times and getting the same terrible service every time? Ridiculous. Save your money. Food is always delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and attentive
Definitely go on a Wednesday night. Trivia night, as it is called. Had Veggie burger. Was amazing. Would surely want to visit again.
Very important for me everything was very clean I've had issues recently at other establishments right in Mount Washington Village with a lack of cleanliness in addition if you're looking for a very sociable outing you will find that at the Abbey Burger just go in and introduce yourself and strike up little conversation
I'm almost never disappointed when I order from Abbey Burger and I was satisfied as per the general usual! :) I cannot recommend this place enough. Great atmosphere and excellent food.
Had a delicious meal at Abbey Burger Mt. Washington...they even knock a chicken sandwich out of the park. Giant Bavarian Pretzel also a hit with the entire family. And of course, the burgers... We need to support these local restaurants in person more then ever. Eat out and eat in person Baltimore!
