EVERYTHING was delicious! From the hummus, goat cheese fritters, wings, and pork belly. Also had the tuna for dinner and even took home the vegetarian Reuben and chocolate peanut butter tarte. Service was also amazing! Will definitely go back and order the other half of the menu!
A hidden gem in Baltimore. The food is outstanding. Little to no atmosphere though. The place is extremely small with limited cramped seating. Outdoors seating is fine, but I usually just get takeout. You won't be disappointed in the pork shank.
Omg the Korean wings were amazing, and I love they have so many vegetarian options, which my wife loves. They have a veggie pastrami sandwich made with very root that was almost indistinguishable from the real thing and tasty as heck!
My favorite restaurant of its type in Baltimore . All the food is fantastic and service is always top notch. I personally would only go as a group of 2 or 3 (or alone for sure) but that contributes to the atmosphere!
Hostess asked if we had reservations (did not), but there were a few tables open and we got one of the cozy, but nice high-tops by a window. Knowledgeable server, great drinks and small plates.
1157 Bar+Kitchen is my favorite restaurant. Every dish on the menu is amazing but, the best brussels sprouts are my favorite and the best in Baltimore. The wings and cauliflower burnt ends are very good as well. My wife and I dine here for date night all the time. The drink selection is top notch and the specialty selections always pair well with our dish. Even during the pandemic when the only option was takeout, we continued to support.
I’ll finalize my rating after I try some of their food. I went with a group for a birthday cocktail and had their rendition of an Old Fashion. It was really good with cinnamon and vanilla flavors! Our amazing server (who was willing to serve us outside in the cold because we had a dog with us) surprised us with birthday shots. We asked her what it was and she said, “I dunno - name it!” When she returned to check on us we gave her the name “Danny from New York”. She said she’d go with it, so if you find yourself at this bar, ask for a Danny from New York and see what happens!
Amazing experience. The Korean wings had the right amount of heat in the sauce. The lamb ravioli was earthy and hearty. The porchetta sandwich was sheer perfection. And the drinks, DON'T get me started on the drinks. This is a MUST visit!
Had such a great experience at Bar and Kitchen tonight. The food was amazing and the ambiance wonderful. Sierra is a gem and made even this old soul feel welcome. Go there it will warm your heart.
