Truly delightful salad, tapas, and pizza. The outdoors flowers are a dream as well. One star lacks because the opening environment is rather unwelcome. The host is plugged to a corner, and with a crowded bar it is uncomfortable to order a drink while you wait outside (expect an hour wait). If the restaurant chooses to be called a winecafe, I would expect that the wine should be accessible without being a burden on the staff.
Perfect location, perfect service, and really good tastes. I highly recommend this place. Also the bill was ver reasonable, much more than the typical restaurants around the area.
Delicious food, great service, cute little place.Back patio is covered with a tent and heaters and I was comfortable sitting out there. The Rockstar was delicious as was the burrata.Chocolate Pot de Creme & Fig & Brioche bread pudding were also amazing. Not disappointed at all!
Outstanding!! We were in Annapolis for 2 full days and this was the last place we tried before we left for home. Wish we would have started here first. The food was wonderful, full of flavor and had a unique twist to it. Needless to say, we had to try a bunch of items and then took a pizza home for the next day. Staff was friendly and knowledgable and offered spot on recommendations, way to go Eva!! Definitely worth the trip and we will make it a point to return in the near future. Please do not miss this gem of a place.
Excellent wine selections and interesting food menu. Pizzas are really good with combination of thin centers and thicker crusts to satisfy any tastes. Busy when we were there, but service was efficient. The buratta is awesome.
THIS is the place I think of when I want something amazing and yet reliable. Now, reliable is not normally the word I'd use to describe a restaurant of this caliber and yet Vin909 can be relied on to always deliver great food. They have the classics that are always on the menu (like the clams that are tweaked seasonally) or the pizza staples (the Basil margherita). But you can also rely on the fact that the new dishes will be well thought out and executed. Plus, the specials will be just that, special (we still talk about a potato leak soup we had last year). We enjoy sitting at the chef's counter and watching the movement in the kitchen. A glass of wine (or two) and great dishes round out for a very enjoyable meal.
Our favorite date night spot and neighborhood gem. The food is always on point and the team is personable and memorable. Truly a pleasure every time!
Great local spot. Solid for a good date or night out. It’s fairly small without outdoor seating (because it’s literally a house), and sometimes the wait is ridiculous. Food is usually excellent. Wine is ok, usually mediocre brands/labels and not the mainstays you’d find at most restaurants.
the owner alex is so rude and nasty. I sat at the bar while waiting almost an hour for a table. it’s a small place in the neighborhood. no reservations permitted. the food was okay. a bit pricey. most people ordered pizza. I had s salad, beets, and a pizza. crust was good. there was no sauce on pizza which was okay. beets were ice cold. salad was very plain but tasty. service was slow. Will not go back. I did not feel welcomed. They need to learn something about the hospitality business and repeat customers they want to stay open in business. I feel sorry for the employees.
Honestly underwhelmed. Came with high hopes based on the reviews and personal recommendations.Spinach salad had very little depth and needed a bit of sweetness. Half a boiled egg and some parm shavings for 12.5.Skirt steak for $19 was 6 tiny slices of beef that, given a perfect preparation would have been ok priced. Could have used a good crust on it … just kind of chewy and fatty. Sauce was good though! If we had the pizza alone, maybe would’ve gotten 4/5 stars. Decent pizza, nice crunchy crust, though crust could be more flavorful, especially for $20.Would also be helpful if the waitstaff could give better recommendations on wine, given wine is in the name of the restaurant…If this wasn’t so pricey, maybe would give this 4 stars, but for what we paid, expected a LOT more.TLDR: underwhelming, too much hype
