A classic deli. I love the vibe, the staff, the service, and of course the quality of the sandwiches is out of this world.You can not go wrong with an annapolitan(Pictures below)
Food was tasty, but as others mentioned, we were blindsided by the upcharge on every baguette sandwich. They did not offer an alternative, nor is there anything on the menu signage indicating that half the sandwiches cost more than stated. I have literally never purchased a sandwich and then had an upcharge for bread. It was a little unclear what's they'd do if we didn't want baguettes. Place the fillings in our hands? I wouldn't go there again.
Best sandwich shop & Deli in Annapolis. The sandwiches and creative combinations created by Bob are simply delicious. For years I have served my sailing guests sandwiches and treats from The Big Cheese. My guests always rave about the food and I have never been disappointed.
I heard they like to ripoff midshipmen. They’re ok in my book. I’ll have to check them out soon.
The shop, the dad, and the daughter were great and very nice. The 3 stars rating is for the mom and her poor customer service. My boyfriend and I wanted to try 2 out of all the great hot sauces variety they had and when we brought the bottles over to tell the mom, she said “We don’t have all of them open” and didn’t even bother to check in the back. She wanted to sell us the hot sauces first before we can “taste test”. The daughter luckily stepped in and went to the back to get samples for us. When we went to pay in the end, the mom just threw our credit cards back on the counter. Even my boyfriend asked me afterwards if she also threw my credit card back and I said yes, kind of rude. I would like to go back, but I don’t want to interact with the mom again.
03.02.22 tried to call this place to order food, spoke with the most rude person ever! Excuse me, who is serving who? If your establishment does not want to accept orders in professional manner then there is no point to be in business. And when asked for gluten free option (I have a right to ask) got very unprofessional response. Do not recommend.
Best sandwich shop around and the greatest owners of any place in Annapolis. Never been to any deli this wonderful. I've lived here for over 20 years and never stopped in which is a huge mistake. Their sandwiches are better than most sit down restaurants are now. We went right after iron rooster which is nowhere near as good as it used to be
I am mad at myself that I only just discovered this place! Went in for the first time yesterday, was overwhelmed by the extensive menu, and the wonderful lady behind the counter suggested the Annapolitan. And… it’s possibly now my favorite sandwich. (Multi-grain bread, Granny smith apples and brie melted over roasted turkey with honey mustard). Thank you!!
Always great service and always delicious! So many great choices also! The best!!
Met the sweetest couple who were happy to answer questions and share family history. Got lots of hot sauce and pickles per their recommendation.
