Stoney River Steakhouse (SRS) is an excellent casual dining experience. The style, food and service reminds me of thee Great American Restaurants (GAR) in Virginia. I am told that SRS gets its dough style rolls from Best Buns which is a GAR brand. I recommend you try either the Whiskey Shrimp or Steak Roll as an appetizer. If you like cocktails, the Lemon Mojito is refreshing. If you have gastro issues the Whiskey Shrimp may not be a good choice, as this dish is extremely rich. I have had consistent service at this establishment. I also recommend reserving your table or you will wait if you walk-in at peak hours. Bon appetite??
The food and service was excellent. The key lime pie is the best I've ever had. I had already eaten some before I took the picture. The slice is huge. First time there, I will definitely be going back!
The staff, so attentive and amazing. The kitchen, organized, communicated well and friendly. The food, AMAZING. Best food I've eaten in awhile and my boyfriend and his uncle agree (they loved their steaks).
I haven't been here in years and boy am I glad to be back. I had the steak salad and it was fantastic. I'll have to make it a point to return more often.
What a great meal. The steak was perfect and the bread before the meal was amazing. The fireplace we sat near was so delightful. We'll be back!
Very good steaks and prime rib. You have to ask for horseradish sauce, recommended. Delicious hot spinach dip, with tortilla chips. Calamari just ok, comes with a very bland marinara dipping sauce. Awful au gratin potatoes, very sorry I ordered them for my side dish. Good steak salad. Good chocolate cake. Service good but a little slow. No beers on tap.
Had lunch today, and the seared ahi tuna came out very cold to myself and a friend. It was returned for a replacement, and wegot the same dish back still cold. Very disappointing service.
Celebrated my 19th Anniversary. Hannah was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, she was happy, attentive and just a pleasure! The Mr. and I both had Filets (coffee crusted and the Trio) with sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, asparagus, etc. The food was perfectly seasoned and so tender. Carrot Cake was humongous! 1/5 of a whole cake....amazing! Finished off with complimentary glasses of champagne from Hannah. A wonderful evening!
We made a reservation and got there early. Instead of eaiting we decided to sit at the bar. The service was FANTASTIC at the bar. Best service we have had in a very long time. We never had to ask for water fill up, he checked on us regularly, and quickly cleaned up emptied plates. It was our first time here so our expectations were high. We got a ribeye and fried shrimp with parmesean fries. The ribeye was overcooked but had good flavor. They put a herb butter on top. The shrimp was okay but the fries were so salty we could not finish. The best part of the meal was the free little biscuit, donut, cossiant, type balls they bring out. We may try again and get different food. You would think a steakhouse would have amazing ribeye but it wasn't the case.
What an amazing time! The host stand was prompt with getting us sat. Our server Gabby was top notch!! Extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Very attentive. We literally waited for nothing! Food was absolutely perfect! My filet couldn’t have been more perfectly cooked. Mike the bartender made the most splendid cocktails!! A man of his craft!!! What a joy our visit to Stoney River was!!!!!!!!! Will definitely return soon!!!
