Great food and excellent service ?
Always love this place, but today had the worst burnt ends I ever had. They tried to make it right but the next ones were still bad....First time experiencing that with them...I usually take an order of burnt ends to go from them....I will give them a pass this time and I still highly recommend Red Hot & Blue
Super Disappointed, I visited to celebrate my dads birthday. We arrived and we’re greeted by our server where she took drinking & appetizer order. Fried pickles were the highlight of my meal, fresh & crispy and dipping sauce was good. My entrée left very little to be desired, I ordered the seafood platter which contains the blackened catfish which was extremely small, salty and still pink in the center, grilled shrimp were pretty good but runny and watery under the shrimp on plate, coleslaw was the best item on the plate, macaroni and cheese would not recommend and cornbread was decent. Overall my meal lacked, flavor & heat (temperature) not what I was expecting having been to this restaurant before. Very Disappointed!
In fairness this review is based on a single visit for a going away luncheon wishing a colleague a happy retirement. There was a limited menu available with fixed pricing that included the tax and gratuity. Pros: the aroma hits you in the parking lot. They should make that scent into a candle ! ?. Another pro was the tea pitchers served with a straw. No need to flag down a server for refills all the time. Cons: the food tasted okay but not anything I would go back for. The side ( Mac and cheese) was tiny..as in a couple of bites tiny and tasted almost store bought. Was certainly not baked or unique. Fried catfish sandwich was equally as middle of the road. Took a picture of a colleagues brats and it seems the same applies.If you dine for the atmosphere and the overall feel of the place...very pleasant servers and that insanely alluring aroma with the food being less of a factor then by a means..git goin. If the food checks as number one and uniqueness of the dish matters most then maybe keep your options open.
10/10 service was great! Food was incredible!Things I loved: the bigger cups! Food was crispy, cooked to perfection, flavor so rich! I've never been to a place where i was so impressed by everything. On top of everything, that impressed me, I loved that they don't have those stupid electronic devices at tables that you can use to pay. You actually get to interact with the waiter/waitress. I would have included a picture but the food was too good to stop eating for a picture. I'm stuffed! And honestly I could eat it all again. Their sauces are so delicious! The wings were so good, with the rub they put on them. You have to visit this place, you won't be disappointed
Great Food. Wish I had honey butter for the hush puppies but nonetheless they were still good. Our server, I think her name was Julia was extremely nice and attentive as well. Kudos to her.
1st time visiting got the pulled pork platter. Soon yummy the corn bread was good as well.Had greens n mashed potatoes an gravy all so yummy. Will return someday.
I never have anything to say about a place that serves sweet tea in a pitcher. There BBQ is delicious as are the awesome sauce choices. Service is friendly and the food is darn good. A good little gem off of the beaten path.
When traveling we always stop here for lunch or dinner. Today we stopped for lunch. Promptly seated. Order taken by Rachel. Started with onion loaf which was good. Wife had ribs & catfish combo with fired okra and salad in lue of second side. They still charged for salad even after waitress said she could substitue? Okra needed season, but ribs and catfish were really good. I had seafood platter which had 4 fried shrimp, piece of catfish hush puppies, cole slaw, fries and I ordered a side salad. I'm not a fan of hush puppies, but I. really like theirs. Everything was good on the platter. I also really like their cole slaw. See you next trip.
