After paying too much for a hotel room, there is nothing better then paying too much for a bad buffet breakfast featuring watered down coffee. The buffet table was cold which made the day old potatoes that much worse. The vegetables used in my custom made omelette tasted of seafood which wasn’t expected. Staff was friendly enough.
The bartender on Sunday night made horrible Old Fashioned drinks. And his choice of 80's pop music/videos was clearly focused to his enjoyment and not the patrons. The place was empty.
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Doubletree on a visit to Annapolis. The first night we decided to eat at Ports of Call since it was right in the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. It is definitely a cut above your typical hotel restaurant fare. The food was excellent. It was so good we decided to eat there again our second night. The employees in this restaurant were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. They clearly take pride in their work. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you stay at the Doubletree.
The bar tender jenny was very nice last night and this morning they brought coffee to our room. What more could we ask for?!
This past week, we ate several meals inn this hidden gem. The Wait Staff were highly professional. The meals were cooked to dream. We had grilled meats and seafood, vegetables cooked just perfect and salads that we crisp to the bite. The desserts were sweet and creamy. Would recommend this to friend or anyone. Great Eats at a reasonable price.
We have eaten here 3 times on our trips to and from New England while staying at the Doubletree. The servers are friendly and attentive, and while the menu is small and simple, the food has been very good. Highly recommend the St. Michael's hot Crab dip, it is fabulous!

Excellent food and staff. Best kept secret in Annapolis. Crab cakes are among the best anywhere in town.
