This is absolutely a place to eat. Happy Birthday to me today!
This is a seafood restaurant with a fusion twist. Very friendly staffs and good quality food. The only dish that we didn't finish was the tomato cold soup. Everything else was very good.
Went to dinner here on Sunday evening at 7p with a group of 12 after reservations made. They close at 9p Sundays. They were extremely organized. All staff knew the menu & were very polite. They made suggestions & were so helpful to us. The menu is huge. Bring a sweater/light jacket as it was Freezing inside Restrooms ok, but just 1 seater in each. Is a parking lot for about 15 cars & street parking. Small L shaped bar. Booths & tables. Each booth holds 6 adults; maybe 8 if thin. Beautiful view of the water. Most entrees start at $40. Extensive wine & whiskey list. Plenty of appetizers starting around $16+. Portions are big & I took 1 of my 2 crab cakes home. Get warm bread & butter with meal. Awesome place.
Elegant restaurant, wonderful food. Wouldn't expect to find myself eating a whole cooked fish like this but it was extremely enjoyable.
Where to start!? Amazing service, amazing food. Not enough words to even describe how wonderful the food was.
The crab cakes were wonderful although I just got a few bites of my husband's. I had the crispy fried rock fish with homemade bbq sauce and Old Bay aioli. It was excellent. Perfectly cooked. Perfectly seasoned. Our sides were great and the waiter, John, said he was going to go put some bread in the over for us. It truly tasted fresh baked. Loved it. John was excellent. The martinis were LARGE!
Our server John was fantastic, and our crispy rockfish meal was out of this world. Our server John was very knowledgeable on all on the meals on and off the menu.
Instead of the usual HARRY BROWN venue, we made a reservation for O’Leary’s Seafood at 6pm. Morgan the hostess greeted us warmly and seated us upon arrival. Greg our server did a professional job and fully explained the specials as well as accommodated two slight alterations we requested to our entrees. My rockfish with shrimp was a generous portion on a bed of rice and accompanied by a salsa-like sauce. My partner ordered the scallops and there were four huge sea scallops on the specially requested bed of crabmeat risotto. Both were very tasty. The dining atmosphere was very pleasant, small room intimate with linen table ware. The only two needs improvement areas of our dining experience were the stingy poor of 1/4 full glass of $9 Pino Grigio and the crameat risotto had NO crameat. We will definitey return to this restaurant.
Having gone back for the first time since the pandemic ended we were disappointed that not only had the experience deteriorated, but so has the food quality. We use to rave about this place and its fresh selection of high quality fresh seafood, which was always prepared to perfection. The crab cakes which are advertised as 'jumbo' lump, for $48, were nothing short of disappointing. The crab cakes consisted of two ice cream scooper size crab cakes that were mostly she crab/backfin with occasional piece of only lump crab meat, NOT 'jumbo' lump. Lump meat seemed to be more strategically placed on the outside of the cake giving the appearance of a lump cake, but the middle of the cake was mostly backfin. No 'jumbo' lump present. My advise, if you don't have the ingredients or can't make it right, take it off of the menu or at minimum change the description! The salmon was cooked well, but the rice noodles while spicy were flavorless. The salmon also seemed to be missing something, there was no sauce/drizzle of any kind. By and large the dish was just sort of blah... Unfortunately, while the restaurant is quaint, it has gone from what used to be one of the more exceptional seafood restaurants in town to another mediocre restaurant.
Ordered beet salad, which was nothing special but tasty. The entree sprung for halibut. Asked not to overcook just cook barely through. It was mealy dry and tasteless Sent it back Second one slightly raw in a ribbon in the middle but the fish mealy and not good A friend on an anniversary dinner there also ordered halibut and said mealy dry and disappointing Given the price they need better source I do not think this is from cooking it wrong. Once you have a poor source of fish it is not possible to get a good outcome. Also halibut comes with olives and cherry tomatoes not much of a balanced meal. Those that had the scallops said they were good. So don’t order the halibut now.
