We went in on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend. It was every bit as crowded and crazy as you would expect. That being said, the Kilwin's team moved everyone through with extreme efficiency. The standout of our first experience there was Megan (sorry if the spelling is off!) She was kind and helpful, but transparent as the the wait for one of the items we ordered. Honestly, she is going places. Anyone who is hiring for a client-facing position would be lucky to have her. We will definitely be back again!
Great ice cream. Highly recommend the waffle cup to combine the waffle cone and ice cream into a more easily consumed treat in the summer heat.
The intoxicating smell when you get close to this store draws you in like the old cartoons. I love there fudge and ice cream. My favorite ice cream flavor is the toasted coconut. It is coconut flavored ice cream with chocolate covered toasted coconut flakes throughout!
We were lured in by the wonderful waffle cone smell wafting into the street. Even though the shop is busy, the staff is quick and efficient in their scooping. Another must stop in Annapolis.
Our experience was great. We where greeted as soon as we walked in and Tim took care of us from the beginning. He took his time and didn’t rush us and he was funny. After he rung us up he took the the time to answer some of our questions and gave us a brief history on the store. We told him we where full and he said well a little secret about Kilwins ice cream is that it has a way of making you not feel full anymore. He said only Kilwins does that. Lol.
Stopped in after dinner over the Memorial Day weekend - This kids enjoy a few scoops of ice cream as did I. The store was busy however they kept the line moving and had great service with a smile. We will surely be back and you should try it out - great spot in the heart of Naptown.
For me, as a European, I have to say that I do not like that kind of ice cream that is sold there. Here is the thing. The Italian ice cream in Europe is not as dense, is melting in your tongue thereby feeling more like a fresh breeze in your mouth. The Kilwins Icecream is more like a dense and chunky peace of cold and sweet ice cream (like Ben and Jerry's). Moreover, with European standards, selling one scoop for about 4 dollars is a little bit pricy. I didn't feel refreshed after eating their ice cream. Nevertheless, if you like Ben and Jerry's you will love the Kilwins Ice-cream. Next time, I'll be there, I'll definitely try the other sweets they sell.
We stopped at Kilwins for an ice cream treat. The Mackinac Island fudge ice cream was delicious! Everything looked good. The price was somewhat high, but it was worth it. Nice!
Chocolate heaven! The smell of fudge being freshly made was amazing. Kids loved the ice cream too. Very friendly service to top it all off.
If you're in Annapolis and you have a sweet tooth, you can't afford to not try Kilwins. They've got some unique ice cream flavors and you can't really go wrong. Huge variety of gourmet chocolate and deserts to choose from. Hard to find street parking on busy weekends, so plan to take a 5-10 min walk from wherever you find parking around the MD State House.
