Our first visit. Great food and great atmosphere. We will be back soon.

Jack's is an institution on South Bay Ridge. They have a broad menu. Their lunch combos are a very good deal, including a soup and egg roll. Service is solid.

Always so good! One of the best places in town and they definitely have the best Chinese food around here! The food, the service and the whole place always make for a great meal. It’s so cozy in there in the winter. We love to warm up with a cup of tea and a bowl of one of their soups. Great cocktails to cool off in the summer (or anytime). They are so kind to our kids too. We always come back again and again. The signature crab roll and the crispy beef are must haves!

Excellent, best food. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I have ever eaten. Moo Goo Gui Pan was very fresh. Highly recommend. Waiter was attentive and professional.

Went tonight had a wonderful experience wonderful service and amazing food. All ariund a really good time. They were attentive and friendly even when we arrived with our 9 person party. Excellent evening will definately be back

Customer service has really gone downhill. I used to frequent this place and the staff was always super friendly. Not today. The gentleman answering phones/greeting guests was dismissive and rude. He saw me walk in first and looked past me to someone who had clearly come in after me.Maybe they are trying to appeal to a different demographic now. Regardless, I won't be back.

Honestly, I’ve given this restaurant a try about 5-6 times now. There’s always something wrong, whether it’s a long wait (over an hour- which I can understand), to the quality of food. This place is decent- it’s not horrible, but it’s definitely not 4-5 stars. I’ve gotten everything from fried rice, to lo mein, to their “famous” crispy beef and salt and pepper wings. Firstly, their fried rice leaves much to be desired- flavor, amount of protein and veggies, and if you don’t include egg in your fried rice, why call it fried rice haha. Their salt and pepper wings are always soggy when I get them (as if they’ve been sitting there). Their beef and onion- like 2/3 of this dish was all onions, barely any beef. Their crispy beef is literally too crispy/hard. I’m not bashing on the place, just being honest, and I’m from the west coast where there’s a plethora of good Chinese restaurants. Customer service is great- the staff is awesome. The place itself is welcoming and warm. Overall, not horrible, but decent at best.

It’s the holidays so of course everyone is gonna be busy. Could not get through on the phone for 30 mins turns out they just weren’t answering calls. Drove past and to my surprise they were open. Went inside to place a to-go order but first they were ready to seat us to dine in. Told the lady we wanted to place a to-go order and she says it’ll be 2 hours. I agreed and you should have seen how shocked she was. She wasn’t expecting me to be okay with the wait which alone told me something fishy was going on like them telling people this so they’ll go away. She looks around for a few seconds trying to figure out how to get out of taking our order and then tells me to hold on and walks away to the back. I already knew what was gonna happen, she was going to tell me they weren’t taking anymore orders. She proceeds to talk to another young lady up front and then appears a man who could be a manager and she tells him I want to place a to-go order and he says it’ll be three hours now. Surprise Surprise. One of the ladies then mumbled something real quick and he says “Oh we’re not taking anymore orders tonight.” Interesting. Very interesting. How can you be ready to seat me for dining in but now all of a sudden I can’t place a to-go order and before that the wait time increases by an hour. So what you’re telling me is I should’ve just sat at a table, ordered my food and then asked for a box? Cool. Great way to treat customers. Was very understanding and willing to wait since it is a holiday but the sneakiness just doesn’t sit well or feel good at all. Also how would people know when their order is ready since they aren’t using the phones there. Just be honest from the beginning and answer your phone.

Best chinese food ive ever had anywhere we go here on a regular basis. By far the best we will be coming for years to come. The staff is great and friendly as well. My personal favorite restaurant

WOW!! What a great experience. This was my first time at this establishment. Everything we ordered was so tasty and full of flavor. The entire wait staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Their Peking Duck was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must have. And if you’re not sure which appetizer to get, try the Pu Pu Platter. It has a variety of apps for a group to share. I highly recommend this restaurant.
