We got into town and headed here based on prior recommendations. Itâs a rustic setting down by water front. Food was good; service OK. Iâd recommend if you want bfast for dinner.

The food was good but everyone left a little hungry, thirsty, and rushed. The portions just didnât hit the spot, which is surprising for the way the food was described on the menu. It was also 95+ degrees and getting water refilled was very difficult. Our waitress kept mentioning sheâd need to go downstairs for things (mustard, drinks, water) which isnât the customerâs fault there are two floors without adequate stock on the top floor. She was nice and we were very understanding but we were so thirsty and hungry from a day in the sun and touring and just wanted to refuel. Everyone enjoyed the food, it really was tasty! Iâve been here before and I will come back, but maybe give the poor waitresses some extra supplies upstairs or a runner to help them?
Management and staff were excellent in accommodating our changing number of diners. Waiter was very good. We were there for dinner. My guess is breakfast is great. Dinner fare is limited and frankly not great. Appetizers were good.
We had a very satisfying recent lunch, outdoors on a sunny day. Diverse menu, very competent wait staff and fair prices given the downtown Annapolis location. It would be hard to improve on their winning formula. That said, there is a sea of competition in all directions and IR has to stay at the top of its game to compete. I hope they can.
We went to iron rooster for breakfast on a Monday morning since we were there to see the Naval Academy with our daughter. One of the pedestrian Naval Academy entrances is very close to iron rooster. The restaurant has a very historic appeal as does the entire area in downtown Annapolis and it is incredibly quaint and beautiful down there. The outdoor seating was absolutely wonderful, the food was fantastic and the service was great!! I highly recommend making a reservation several days prior since they are very popular and a lot of breakfast times are gone a week ahead of time.
Excellent evening at Iron Rooster in downtown Annapolis. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy the music and ambiance of the boating town.
