We came here for dinner and had crab cakes and cocktails. Both were delicious. The service was friendly.

We had not been to Harry Brownes in a while. We went on a Friday. The restaurant was not crowded despite the fact that this was Parents Weekend at the Naval Academy. We had two seafood dishes of soft crabs and rockfish. Neither dish was exceptional in the preparation but was good. For the price of $40 each of the two dishes (specials for the night) came with the seafood and a side of a grain/compote but nothing more, no bread or vegetable. We ordered a side salad which was reasonably priced at $5 for a small bowl. I guess I would have expected something more for the price. Wines by the glass were $12 each. The draft beer was $7. I guess I was expecting something a bit more for the price.

Getting to Harry Browne's was an extreme effort to get to yesterday. The food was worth every bit of effort! With interesting conversation, we tarried there without any hassle. Our server was sweet and anticipated our needs. That said, the food was exceptional! Try the calamari or mussels as appetizers and the tagliatelle bolognaise for entree. Best of all is their chocolate ice cream, made there on the premises offers a less sweet but oh so dark chocolate taste. As for decor, take a look at the round art deco Lalique lights chandeliers hung at each end of the room. A series of these earned the Normandie the nickname "Ship of Light" similar to Paris as the "City of Light". There are oodles of street repair projects that make it difficult to park nearby. Closest parking is Gotts Garage or the Tourist Center. Noted also is the fact that up a steep staircase is an elegant bar.

The lunch menus is somewhat limited so we had a pasta dish. The oysters were very good and fresh.

Wedding party in an upper bar area. It is a beautiful and cool place the drinks where great and so was the staff.

I have never asked anything of this restaurant without getting a positive response. From parties to special tables - they aim to please. The drinks are tremendous - try an Old Fashion! And all the food is amazing. Current favorite the ravioli, but all is yummmmm! Can always recommend to anyone to go here.

The wonderful food was only surpassed by the impeccable service from Katie, quite simply one of the best servers we have ever encountered. Knowledgable, engaging and totally professional, as well as running countless tables apparently single- handed. What a huge asset to this business she is. The Chef produced some fabulous dishes, Beef carpaccio, crab cakes, scallops and shrimp with risotto, shrimp with grits, chicken milanaise, blue cheese wedge salad and crab soup, everyone was a success in its own right. This experienced reviewer cannot praise this restaurant highly enough, and I highly recommend it.

We went to an event at the restaurant and every detail was attended to from setup, to bar service, the meal, and the waiters. I had the crab cakes, which I highly recommend. My friend ordered the filet and said it was the best ever. The owner is personable and made sure every detail was memorable. I give this restaurant a 5 out of 5 marks.

My fiancé and I came here last night and had a great meal. Unfortunately I did not feel good walking through the door so I took my meal to go. I ran out a few hours later to get utensils from seven eleven and my meal was outstanding! We decided to come back tonight and cannot speak more highly of this place. The meal from start to finish was amazing. I don’t work in a restaurant but my fiancé runs one and he was glowing the entire time. Service, food, drinks, all spot on. We will be back!If you like Port, try the 30 year. My fiancé can’t stop talking about it!

Disappointing , misses the mark on many fronts. Food was pricey for Ok food. Wine list is limited and over priced for avg wines. Also services could have been more attentive .
