Its a Chaotic place we took our softball girls to visit a historic town that was supposed to be a pretty good place crab soup was the best thing I ate there and pretty pricey

I stopped in with a friend for lunch on a Monday afternoon and we decided to each get a drink and then shared a salad and a hamburger. The drinks were fine and the salad was decent so no complaints there. What was a huge disappointment was the hamburger. This is obviously a frozen patty that was so thin and plain that I cannot even believe that this restaurant would serve it and charge $14. It was placed on a nice fresh bun but the meat itself was so thin and tasteless that it was not worth eating. The only savior for this establishment is its location. Otherwise I can’t imagine that it would stay in business if the food I received is any indication of what the other options taste like. What was really disappointing is that the manager just leaned by the front door the whole time instead of walking around and checking to see how people were enjoying their meals and ask if they needed anything.

Enjoyed our meals here. Prompt friendly service. A nice atmosphere. Sit by the window and watch the world go past.

Delicious food to fair prices in a region like this, stuff was friendly and polite. Everything was fine.

Loved that the Federal House had covered outdoor seating. It was a bit nippy out and my honey and I appreciated the neat table heaters that threw off enough heat to make sitting out comfortable. Nice little individual fire. I ordered the fish and chips and found them.. .perfect! Seriously as good as any I have had in London- and the fries were far superior to the Brit versions. The coating was crispy and the fish was flaky and on point- not at all greasy - perfectly fab! My guy ordered the beef stew and said it was almost as good as mine… what?!?! Truth told- I had a few bites and it was absolutely delish. Very flavorful and tender. Portions were generous The server recommended both items and we took his advice. Glad we did. We will be back! Service was great. And we had a great time people watching and enjoying one another’s company.

Had oysters on the half-shell to start, which were good. For my meal I had to get the double crab cake dinner which was really something. Great beer selection, and a really neat post-colonial feel to the building. Our server Jacob did a great job.

Great bar and nice place to stop in for a drink when downtown.

Had late burger and a beer. Beer list is pretty good mostly local breweries. My burger was mediocre, blah, the other persons bison burger was the same. Service was good but the there were probably 4-5 sets of patrons in the place.

What a great location, right in the heart of Annapolis. When you walk into the building you can notice how old is that place, build in the 19th century it is remarkable well preserved, such a historic place! And if you are looking for the best selections of beers in downtown Annapolis, this is the place to go.Unfortunately, they don’t have happy hour, so the beers are not cheap, but you pay for the quality, right? The service was excellent and the food was great. My only “negative” thing here is that they do not offer a military discount (might a good idea as the Naval Academy is around)!I highly recommend and certainly my husband and i want to back soon!

I've debated about posting this review for a while now. I try to post three good for every bad review, I've hit that threshold. Let me say I love the location, the staff is wonderful, it is a cool looking bar/restaurant, PLENTY of outdoor seating if preferred. The drinks have a nice heavy pour. That's where it ends. It doesn't smell fantastic when you walk in, things need a dusting and good wipe down, banged up walls and furniture, and overall just not what I expect for downtown. The food was not very good very little flavor, serving sizes were generous though. For example the crab dip was almost all cream cheese--it was fluffy and creamy but lacked crab! Ultimately disappointing especially as much of a pain as it is to park downtown, you really want the food to be fantastic. Two stars because the staff deserves something!
