Went to eat at Chick and Ruth’s Delly recently. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated with a smile. Fast and friendly service as always. Food delicious. You sit elbow to elbow with diners which is my favorite part of the experience because you are forced to engage with other diners. This place might have invented the phrase “Mom & Pop”. Thank you all staff!
This was our first time to Chick and Ruth's. I had the crab cake sandwich and my husband had the crab veggie omelette. The crab cake sandwich was delicious! There was a ton of crab and it didn't have too much breading. The bun was soft and the sandwich came with lettuce, tomato and cocktail sauce. The omelette wasn't too eggy and was loaded with crab and had some green bell peppers and onions. We both enjoyed our meals.
The crab cakes are beyond fabulous! Pancakes were amazing! Our waitress, Jeanette, was great! I'm telling you it is worth the wait!

This was recommended by a local and we arrived at 8:30 am. When we left at 9:30, the line was down the street. Very generous portions - I had a mushroom omelet that filled a large oval plate and came with hash browns. My friend ordered corn beef hash with poached eggs and that filled the plate as well. Good thing we have a dog for leftovers! Very friendly staff. Look forward to going back again.
This place was BUSY on the Saturday afternoon that I visited. It has the feel of a diner that's packed into a small space and typical of the best diners is the food. I got the (gigantic) crab cake sandwich and it was massively delicious. That sandwich made up for all the crabs that I missed eating in 2020 and 2021. Don't bother with the cocktail sauce--you won't even need it because the crab cake is so good.
For the area the food is a decent price and they have good hours of operation. We had breakfast 2 days in a row. The food is good, ambiance is unique, portions are generous and it is a local favorite. Check it out.
This place is packed! People loves here. My husband and I visited Annapolis and we found some recommendations to try this place. The serving is more than good enough for your stomach to fill-up. I ordered the crab and cheese omelette and he got the chicken and waffle, both are so filling! Recommended place to visit when you stop by Annapolis City.
Inexpensive good greasy food? we ate here twice on our visit, late lunch and breakfast. Same cheerful waitress. Liked the breakfast better than lunch. Major character in this cozy joint!
Very centrally located on Main Street, this place is well-known and a landmark in Annapolis. We had breakfast here, eggs for my wife and French toast for myself. The French toast was especially good. Service was good, prices very reasonable. Decor is kitschy, which seems appropriate. Definitely worth a visit.
