We first tried this place when we visited Annapolis in December 2021. My son ordered the baby back ribs. My husband and I ordered steamed shrimp. Everything was delicious. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. I just flew in yesterday and this was of course on of the places we had to check out our first day. I ordered 2 of each of the oysters on special. My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Everything was so tasty. We will be eating here again while we are here and can't wait to come back from California to have more.

Took the wife out for early dinner last weekend and although we've walked by this place 100 times, we've never eaten here. Up front 4.5 stars but Google makes you pick one or the other. Our server Nick was very helpful while we decided what to order and the food came out quickly and was delicious. I got the lunch portion fish and chips and barely finished it. My wife's order was the same and she raved about it. We didn't drink but the drinks we saw being served looked like long pours and delicious... come to Buddy's in downtown Annapolis - you can still people watch from the windows or you can eat right out by the street!

Busy location, slightly noise and not very well organized.Attentive waitress ? decent food quality but wish to taste fresher crabs next timeThe sausage from the platter was underwhelming and bread can needs more cheese flavor.

When My family initially decided on this place I was reluctant. I mean who would typically pair crabs with ribs and expect a favorable outcome however to my surprise it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought good wise but customer service was a negative zero out of zero. Our server Dawson was absolutely the worst server I’ve experienced in my life. His temperament was short and we felt very rushed to order. I asked for description of oysters and he looked at me like i was an alien. Like how do you sell oyster on the half shell and cannot give me any tasting notes besides “there from Chesapeake” like cmon. To add insult to injury our drinks were not refilled, we were forced to eat with dirty plates in front of us the entire duration, and we had to watch while other customers were serviced with all you can eat crabs rapidly and we were give maybe 5 crabs per plate. I don’t want to believe it’s bc we were black however I am more convinced after I talked with the manager about my less than favorable experience. He was very insensitive, lacked concern your my family’s experience, and basically ask me “what do you want me to do” I am no genius at all but unless he is a complete idiot I believe his job as manager is to at least be solution oriented on guest with horrible experiences. To throw salt on my alrEady open would the manager did not split my check correctly and charged me for the entire table and said it was an accident but i know it was bc I was vocal about my concerns! Then he has the audacity to say to my face “I’m taking the gratuity off you all” like he’s doing us some justice or something he shouldn’t be doing. After this I am Convinced this is not an establishment for any person of color. We do not deserve less than favorable service bc we are black Buddy and then to overcharge me while in fact you were in the wrong is just blatant disrespect. Train your servers on etiquette and maybe give our drug test bc our waiter was clearly on something and that was evident from his abnormal behavior. The manager didn’t even have the gull to talk to me he sent some kid to ask me what i wanted totally unprofessional. I have a long life ahead of me and every day for the next 30days i will post about this Racist establishment. My husband is a veteran you all have the nerve to have flags in the place news flash America is not inclusive to just white people

Down to earth and delicious. Love this little hole in the wall. Our valet driver told us he goes here with his friends. It has views of the harbour and has a laid back vibe with fresh and delicious food and great service too! I would never have noticed this place in my search. So happy he sent us this way!!

The location was great, easy to find. You can set outside and you can set upstairs. We went to the upstairs. We have been served by Tracey, a very nice friendly lady. She was great. We orders half dozen of Jumbo crab. Rips, tuna sandwich and crawfish. The food was good! The tuna Sandwich was supper good.In general it was good. And it was crowded.

I love seafood and this place did NOT disappoint. I had a Shipwreck drink and the bartender did an EXCELLENT job of mixing it. The seafood boil I got was almost on point. The Crab legs pieces came out in full and of course I had to dip it in the warm garlic butter. The only thing I was disappointed with was the corn and the sausage that came with the boil. The corn was not seasoned and the sausage really wasn't to my liking. Other than that, everything else was great!

We stopped in over the Memorial Day weekend and had 2 dozen jumbo crabs. The kids loved them and made for a great cap to the day. Highly recommend trying Buddy's and we will be back again as we have for years.

Sunday brunch buffet.Bottomless Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas.Mid on price. Good times, great views, friendly staff. I will make the drive next time I am in D.C

We went on Saturday (today) about an hour after they opened. Not very busy and seated right away. Our waiter was AMAZING! He was probably the most polite and kind waiter I've ever met. His voice was deep and hypnotic. Anyhow, the food...My husband got a platter and really enjoyed it. We started with fried pickles which were really good. A friend got the two crab cakes and loved them. Her husband got the lobster and crab cake entree and said it was really good. My burger was good. I ordered red potatoes, but sadly when they came with the meal they were cold so I didn't eat them. This is only our second time there, but we'll definitely be back!
