The Saltwater Grille is a great little tucked away spot in South Portland! It doesn’t seem too touristy. There is a huge menu with a seafood focus, but the menu offers a little of everything— so something for everyone! Definitely ask to sit on the deck, you won’t regret it! Their wine list is extensive. We loved the dry rose (pictures) it was delicious! Call ahead for a reservation, plenty of parking, friendly staff! Be sure to go for sunset!
Took the Mrs. out for a night on the town and stopped here for some stellar dinner along with a fantastic view facing Portland's Old Port and Waterfront across the Harbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our apps, dinners and drinks were delicious.While everything we had was great, whoever made the broccolini tonight deserves a raise and a call from the Mayor.
We had been here and the location is STUNNING! We were able to sit outside overlooking the marina. The staff was lovely. I had the shrimp fritters and they were very good! I also had the green goddess salad - good but not bland. My sister had fried haddock sandwich. She enjoyed it but fries had a fishy taste - perhaps shared oil?Overall would go back.
The server was very friendly and efficient. Excellent chowder and steamers. The paella could have used more saffron and fresh corn. The snapper was cut like a steak fish and would have been better as a filet or small, whole grilled fish.
Food was excellent. I had the paella for my dinner. It is a great restaurant on the water with excellent views of the water and the portland skyline. Great drinks as well.
The food here is amazing! I had the stuffed lobster and it was perfection. The stuffed haddock was ordered by others with me and they said it was very good also. The service was excellent and the view from the restaurant was really nice.
had reservations for dinner started out with cocktails, appatizers and main course the waitress we had was very good also we all had sea food we will be back
Very good fish tacos, I wish I could’ve ate a lobster roll but the price of the rolls were high. I think because of the everlasting lobster problems.Hostess was great at getting us a window seat. :)
One of the best lobster ? rolls I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere and better service and oh by the way the portion you get for French fries is out of bounds. Thank you! The views are ok too ?
This is a great place to eat. You get fantastic service, delicious food, and spectacular views. What more could anyone want? We ate here for the first time yesterday before heading home from vacation, but we will definitely be back!
