Their AC was broken which U understand happens. They accommodated me to sit next to the door which I asked to be opened and half of the restaurant was thankful for. However took them 30 min to find the server for out table,I asked hostess twice about it and despite the heat she didnât even think to bring us a glass of water. So I went to the bar and got us some.
I loved everything, but the chicken was a bit dry.
Slow. Sub-par food.
Our waitress Amber was ver attentive. Food was excellent. We had shrimp por tofu o and seafood ravioli..scrumptious!
I should have known walking in on an 85 degree day and not having the AC working. It was as hot inside as it was outside. We were seated within a few minutes which was expected as there was only 7 or 8 other tables there. We were out for my fathers 65th birthday and looking for a reliable, kid friendly atmosphere with good food my two kids. The waitress came around and took our drink orders after 5 or so minutes, the beers however too 10 additional minutes to get. My husband, who is a ups driver, was extra thirsty after his long day. When he told the waitress it was she said "yeah sorry it was the last of the keg." Why would you even bother serving it? While we were waiting for another beer of his, 10 more minutes had passed and we put in some appetizers and tried to order a pizza for the kids, but they were all out of pizza dough for the day. Again, another red flag I wish I saw and just left right then and there. It continued with my husband having to ask for ANY beer that he could get immediately whatever it was, to ordering multiple drinks at once because it was such a process to get one. My kids waited 10 minutes to eat their meals because their water didn't arrive and by the time it had their food was cold. The last appetizer arrived with the dinners and was honestly terrible. I don't consider to be myself a difficult or needy person, I rarely ever go out to dinner and mostly for this reason. It's just a disappointment and the waitress was sweet, she said there was just 3 of them there that night but there were multiple chefs and a manger I saw just for a split second out back. The place wasn't busy at all and for customers sake I'm glad. I always loved their food but I can't say this time would make me go back.
We are vegan and have super luck at Macaroni Grill. We get custom pastas with choice of pasta, I do fettuccini, choice of sauce, I do the spicy Arrabbiate sauce, choice of toppings, I do fresh mushrooms, fresh broccolini, and fresh spinach, it is $16.50. We add their Tomato Basil soup, EXCELLENT, and vegan, adds $3. We are served bread to go along. Great meal, and we had a great attentive server tonight, Kara, who was excellent, kept our waters filled, got us what ever we needed, hope we get her next time too! And, they are open at the unique time we always go, late afternoon 3 or 4PM. We usually can't wait until 5PM. And they are open on Mondays, always a problem for us with most restaurants. Karalyn was amazing ?Never been here before but loved all the food!Got the bruschetta and Mac n cheese bites for apps, the bites were far better than anywhere else I've had them!Also got the penne rustica, no shrimp, I was worried they would forget about leaving out the shrimp, as I have had issues with that at other restaurants, but it was perfect upon arrival!Couldn't finish everything today, took the rest home.Definitely coming again to try some desserts.
We were visiting the area for my nephews graduation, made reservations for 7, the Restaurent only had one other table occupied. We had 3 small children and 2 elderly, it was freezing, we asked the waitress to turn down the air conditioning, the manager apparently thought his comfort was more important, and refused. I would understand if the Restaurent was busy , but it was not!!! The food was also cold!!! I would never recommend this place!!! I wish I could rate this place a minus star!
Prices haven't increased, but the portion size is probably half what it was pre-covid. Chicken marsala had maybe 3 ounces of chicken. Not sure why, but the entire floor was sticky.. like the floor in an auditorium where things get spilled between seats and never cleaned. You shouldn't be able to hear and feel your shoes sticking to the floor when you walk. Gross.
Food was okay. Portions are a lot smaller than they used to be, but the prices are reasonable for what you get. Chicken on the salad was very overdone and dry. Seafood pasta was good. Server was very attentive and helpful. Very friendly staff.
