Delicious Butternut Squash, Ricotta & Cranberry pizza, I will definitely try it again.
Y'all. Come on. I never write bad reviews but I have to say something this time. I asked for extra sauce and got less than usual. I paid $1.50 (each) for what ended up being a really REALLY weak amount of toppings. $1.50 for a sprinkling of dried basil? WTH? I don't think it would break the bank to be a little bit more generous and attentive. I expect a lot more for the price and reputation. Is this extra sauce? Is this $1.50 (each) worth of onions, green peppers, garlic and basil? No. No it's not. If it was one time I wouldn't have said anything but it seems to be the norm now. Not cool.
This person wouldn’t complain so i’m doing so on their behalf. A family with a child on BBCH ordered a pizza and had it delivered. They ended throwing away pizza as it was extremely burned. I think it’s appalling you don’t check your product prior to delivering it.
Do not order delivery!! We have eaten Otto's pizza for a while and it is generally very good, but I've reached my limit. Not because of the quality or taste of the pizza, but the delivery service which has continually gotten worse. I understand the current climate of the pandemic and hiring shortage and am usually quite sympathetic to the front line workers. Unfortunately, the deliveries went from being a normal 10-15 minutes late to much worse. My limit was the recent delivery which was 1 hour and 15 minutes late. The part that annoyed me even more was the person I would call to find out when it might finally get delivered. Every time I called, the person said that our address was next for delivery and should be only 5-10 minutes. After the 4th call, I asked specifically where he was and the Otto's employee said he was in the greater Portland area(that's a pretty big area) and we're on the list for upcoming deliveries. This was at an hour late. Customer service was pretty lousy for someone who's $100 pizza order was an hour and 15 minutes late and I had a house of hungry teenagers for a birthday party waiting for pizza. Like I said, Otto's pizza is very good, but not after that. There are comparable pizza joints around Portland that are as good and they will have my business from now on.
This location is always my goto as I have gluten/dairy allergies. I have been trying to eat healthier the past couple months so hadnt been in a bit, but was so excited to spoil myself with my usual pizza for my birthday yesterday! Something has significantly changed there. I realize the restaurant industry has been hit hard and empathize, but I’m hoping this comment can help them further train some of the staff. They first lost my pizza, my family had to go to pick it up twice. When we finally got it, it was NOTHING like it normally is. I paid over 20 bucks for burnt crust with barely anything on it- 1 slice of avocado, couldn’t even see any cauliflower or cheese. Overall, super disappointed. I hope they figure out how to get back to a better place so I can go back to enjoying in the future.
Delicious pizza! Love the sausage with Vidalia onion!
Customer service was definitely lacking. There are no clear signs for anything here. Not even a menu posted on the window, they just slip you a menu thru the window. Seems silly if there's a line you have to wait until it's your turn to look. It's been made into window service only with no outdoor dining at all and no bathrooms. Prices are on the high side and we ordered a standard pepperoni and cheese pizza. Each slice had about a tsp of cheese, lot of chunky sauce and about 2-3 pepperoni's all on a thin crust. Not a filling pizza whatsoever and one person could easily devour half of a large.Do not recommend this place unless you just love a saucy skimpy pie.
We were in South Portland before taking our kids to camp. One of our girls is extremely picky and a vegetarian so we have to be very careful where we get food from. Pizza and salad are usually pretty safe for her so when we saw Otto and decided it was worth a try. She LOVED the salad. The red wine vinaigrette was so delicious, she wants the recipe to make at home. The rest of us enjoyed our pizza and salad. The mashed potato pizza is really a play on a baked potato bar. The roasted cauliflower and mushroom pizza was so delicious (we got it with sauce). We loved it so much we went back for lunch the next day. Our girls said "Yay" when we pulled into the parking lot.
First time trying it- great crust but very little cheese and minimal sauce.
OTTO is a solid pizza option near the airport in Portland, Maine. We ordered the four cheese pizza with the standard mozzarella cheese, accentuated by dollops of a decent ricotta, and very tasty fontina and asiago cheeses. The crust is fabulous, relatively thin with cornmeal on the bottom for extra crispness. The cheese sticks are also good, with two decently flavorful cheeses but a great buttery, garlicky bread with the perfect texture. You’ll want to order an extra pomodoro sauce which might just be the highlight of the entire menu!
