Stayed in Portland after driving back from Acadia and wanted to try a restaurant outside of the Old Port District. This restaurant is phenomenal all the way around. Food and staff are wonderful. C.R.E.A.M. playing in the background. Definitely check this place out if you're passing through!
Fantastic inventive menu and wonderful service. I would have never thought that tuna and strawberries would work together, but it was a flavor sensation! It's definitely a place to share all the menu items to get the full experience of a truly ambitious and talented chef. I hope this place continues to expand on the fantastic menu items.
Woman who greeted me was very rude. Asked for a mocktail and she rolled her eyes. Actual waitress very friendly though. Gnocchi was strangely runny and undercooked? (Better than gluey and chewy lol?) also over salted and too much vinegar or lemon juice. In theory this dish would be excellent but their execution is obviously lacking. Grits had zero seasoning so no flavor. Beer nuts burnt. I had high hopes considering the menu but it was awful.
Judy Gibson is one of our favorite Portland restaurants - a hidden gem in Knightville. Just a four minute drive away across the Casco Bay bridge, Judy Gibson never fails to bring inventive, seasonal dishes to its latest menu. We love watching the open kitchen and the top notch cocktail menu and sophisticated global wine list. Don't miss this place. We go as often as possible.
This place is superb and take my word for it..I’ve been maybe +10 times since it opened! Always a good wine and cocktail selection (changes often) and the food has never disappointed. I think about the mussels often because they are so unique and SO tasty. A must have! These are not big hulky portions. Prepare to share and order a bit of everything! Always wonderfully kind staff who is knowledgeable about the menu, and considering the current times- takes very good Covid precautions. Can’t wait to go back.
The gnocchi and coffee pudding were the favorites, but absolutely everything was fantastic!
Excellent meal! The chef did an amazing job and provided creative dishes that were executed perfectly. Standouts for us we’re the tomato cucumber, the chicken liver mousse on zucchini bread, and the squid! Probably the best preparation of squid I’ve ever had! Strongly recommend checking this place out and if you are staying in portland it is definitely worth the short trip!
Thoughtfully prepared cocktails. Small menu would've ordered one of everything. Taste explosion in your mouth.
Hands down one of the best meals you’ll get in Maine. The best gnocchi I’ve ever had, the texture was spot on. All the dishes were so well balanced and hit all the right notes. Could not recommend coming here enough.
Worth taking a detour, very delicious. Lamb tartare was good
