The food never disappoints. The staff hustles especially during the busy times, they are always friendly.

Phenomenal. Hand made baked bread daily and the best marble Rye bread I've ever had. I highly recommend their coney island Reuben. It's absolutely delicious. The seating is open and the atmosphere is great. I love their menu board as well. Nice touch! Their French dip is also amazing. The poppy seeds on the baguette add a nice touch. The staff is friendly, fast and kind. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. Absolutely worth every cent! 10 out of 10

Excellent and authentic delicatessen experience. A unique menu of declious sandwiches, soups and salads. Always a good meal.

Excellent ham and cappy. Dry egg salad and roast turkey. Will try again.

5 stars from me!! Today was my first time visiting this restaurant on the recommendation of a coworker, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The smell of fresh bread and the meats and cheeses make you salivate on entry. I tried the Coney Island Rueben and it was the best I've ever had hands down. The place was absolutely packed during the lunch hour which is always a good indication to the popularity of this place. The quality of the ingredients and the hospitality of the employees makes Heidi's a must for anyone looking to experience great food and service.

Its a solid lunch option in the mall area. The most unique quick serve offering among a sea of chain restaurants

Today was the last time I will enter a Heidi's Brooklyn Deli. The shop in South Portland Maine really needs to have customer service explained to them. Today I came in and ordered a Chef Salad without ham and a coffee. I was pretty horrified at the presentation of the salad as well as the limited choice of dressings, the plastic fork in plastic and the awful little creamers for the coffee. Heidi's could certainly learn a lesson from Panera's Bread across the street. However this was not the main issue. I ordered my salad and went to pay. When the cashier asked what I ordered I distinctly said a Chef salad and coffee. Probably the cashier should repeat the order back so errors are less likely. To my chagrin as I sat down and was about to start opening all the little dressing packets, a man came up to me and said gruffly and unapologetically, in an almost accusing voice, that my order had been rung in incorrectly as a green salad and I owed him two dollars more. I said ok let's get that two dollars taken care of at which time he said oh no its more than that- its at least $4. I went up to the register with him, leaving my food and feeling like I was being stared at. I said I would need a receipt for the return on what they had charged me and a new receipt for the amount they were charging me now. He said oh no I can't do that because we have not charged your card we do it as a batch at night. I also never got an apology for all of this inconvenience over what started out as $2. Imagine how I was feeling by now and what I was thinking. And that salad really did not look all that great to begin with, I wish I had taken a picture, but it looked like a bowl completely spread across the top with deli turkey meat and all those little packs of salad dressing at the side.I find this is really poor customer service.Michael's demeanor (I am one of the owners he said when asked) and the way he treated me even more than that $2 or $4 or however much it was is what has lost my family as customers.

Owner was a rude a$$ to my wife when she went in to get a salad. 1st she ordered a chef salad and he said she was charged for a green salad. Ok I can deal with that. The price difference this a$$ said was 2 dollars then it was 4 dollars more within a minute. She said the salad wasn’t very appealing. So now they lost all of our business forever. She was even planning on going back to get something for our son who was in class at the time. So who in this day and age is rude to their customers.

Favorite place in town to grab lunch! Highly recommend stopping in!

We have been here before. Always a great pastrami sandwich. This time the pastrami tasted off. Could not eat it. If it hadn't been take-out we would have brought them back. Maybe it was an off day. Staff are really nice.
