Seriously awful food. It's not only very overpriced, but understaffed and badly managed. Breakfast was over $65 for just some basic menu items, and even with my "free breakfast" voucher from the hotel, I ended up paying out of pocket for over half of it. Unbelievable. I'm so disappointed in this restaurant once everything changed over from a Marriott to the Sheraton. Will not be eating here again. Just has the illusion of a "nice place"
WE were surprised and the quality of this restaurant in a hotel. The soups were outstanding and should not be missed. I had a big salad with chicken which had every thig I wanted. Good selections of beers in bottled and on tap. We left full and happy
Great food menu little off order a popover but got cake
A very quaint restaurant tucked into the Sheraton Hotel. Farm to table energy with a very gentle atmosphere. Food is great, and service just as awesome. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Definitely a tucked away gem. Oh, and if you stop by, try a custom cocktail. They are wonderful.
Great farm to table restaurant! Best lobster
Don't waste your time or money. They can't even get spaghetti and meatballs right. Who messes that up??? Bartender didn't have a clue. Told us she didn't know how to make any drinks, pretty sure she just wanted us to leave. We watched her struggled trying to make a hot coffee drink, the cable knit, which she did completely different than the menu stated, she was so put out when we said it's missing whip cream, she said she'd go find some if we really wanted it. We just left I couldn't bare to watch her struggle to make a martini. Honestly what a joke. Your restaurant needs help. What a disappointment we will never return....EVER
Stayed at hotel and went to bar to watch the Celts. Had a gram cracker martini and blueberry tort desert. So good, next time we will definitely try dinner
Poor service, saw our server about twice. Lobster roll didn’t even taste like lobster! Fries were spicy??? Super disappointed because it’s a great environment but didn’t have any good food.
So I have to laugh. My husband and I rarely get to get out of town. We decided to go to Portland to get some errands done and so we heard that this place was a sister to Timber Restaurant in, Bangor, Maine. So we assumed that it would be really good. So to begin , we waited 30 mins to get our first drinks, the hostess was really concerned, she at least came to our table to connect with us. After receiving our drinks we waited another 30 mins to get our order in, then we ordered more drinks snd they were ready a( as we could see them at the bar) , again another 20 mins. When I did get my drinks I asked if we could get some bread( they do say they make their own) , they had ran out. Oh did I a forget to mention that they usually serve a pear with the Asian pear martini that I ordered, ( but they ran out of that too!! ) Ok to the entree, it was ok, nothing great. I am a private Chef and it was refreshing to know that what I serve is really amazing in comparison to what we received this evening. So I ordered some Sauvignon blanc and I got Chardonnay. I got up and went to the bar to exchange it. All in all it was funny but very disappointing. I feel for the waitress, she was alone , and doing her best, but Really!!. The hostess was also doing her best. So I would not recommend this restaurant. It definitely has management issues, and if they hope to survive, they definitely need to get things worked out. So all in all it was not the s very good experience.
The quality of the food was the highlight of our 2 couple visit. Mushroom pizza appetizer split 4 ways was perfect, fish & chips outstanding, ravioli and chicken tagliatelle entrees were generous and tasty, blueberry tart dessert also delicious. When seated, hostess asked if we wanted a more private table, and we said “yes, please!”. Unfortunately a young couple with a very loud baby were seated in the adjoining booth a few minutes later (there were many other seating options at the time). Not a deal-breaker but definitely avoidable. The decor, while visually appealing, has lots of hard surfaces that magnify noise (like loud baby noises). We also had to stand up and remind the hostess that we had not been visited by a server after about 15 minutes - but once that connection was made things were back on track. Important to remember this is a restaurant whose clientele is primarily hotel guests. If the details had been handled better the rating would have been 4 stars. It was good enough to deserve a return visit, which we’ll look forward to.
