If I could. I would give -1 stars!Server “Anne” the older lady, with grey hair. Who brought me my food to me.I saw they had my order wrong so I went to say something and she got flustered and threw the plate down and said “Mike will fix it when he comes out” very snotty and rude. My food was clearly sitting there for a while and I watched two people get seated AFTER I got here and they got there food before me.Noted. They are SLOW right now, I sat for over an hour for a kids chicken Alfredo and DIDNT get my side of fries.Thankfully. I am from the Freeport area and I WILL NEVER return here.She totally ruined my first experience here and after this incident I couldn’t even eat. I have never been treated that horribly.Also had to go find my server to get my tab so I could leave. This place was a joke…. So sad. No one came and checked on us once. Got my plate thrown down at me and then that was it.
Will never return. Person at the door hardly acknowledged anyone, was skipping people for seating, and once he finally sat me at the table, I sat there for almost 15 minutes without ever being greeted or even warned by the person who finally sat me that service time might be slow. As someone who worked in food, this is unacceptable. Sections should be shrunk if you don’t have the staff to handle the whole restaurant and warnings should be provide if service times are outside the expected normal. Poor FOH management. Especially on a Friday night.
100% wrong DoorDash order, I understand if it's the end of the night and you may have run out of certain items but like...notify someone maybe? I ordered the brew pub pretzel sticks (comes with a side of mustard and cheese) and a blue ribbon brownie (comes with a side of ice cream) - I received a singular lava cake with a side of ice cream. Wouldn't hurt to take 2 seconds to at least double check the order before it leaves the store or notify the customer/driver if you're unable to fulfill the order.
This apple bees is great. They have some one at front that greets you and is prompt. The brighton ave Applebee's is horrendous.. I can stand there for 10 minutes with out anyone saying a word to me. They need to visit here to see how it's done.
Met another couple for lunch. Went to another restaurant in the area first and was told there would be more than an hour wait. It was 11:30 a.m.!We recommended Applebee's; they had never eaten at an Applebee's. What a wonderful first experience for them. The food was good, affordable and the service was exceptional. Applebee's has 2 new customers.
Typically, my daughter loves this restaurant but we went like a month or two ago and had a waitress falling asleep standing up and putting her hands in food by accident.. obviously she was on something because I know what narcolepsy looks like.. and I know what a high person looks like.. she was not narcoleptic. - _ - my daughter was like why was she speaking like that.. why were her eyes closed.. I hope she was fired because children should not have to see this bs.
Ordered thru food delivery on 3/3. Ribs and shrimp pasta. I got food poisoning for 3 days. Massive sickness. I have reported this and is a common occurrence with this chain nationwide. BEWARE!!!!!!!
Applebee's is just a "higher class" McDonald's. Their food is never good-no matter what you get. I've given this place so many tries and at many locations. To name a few locations I've tried: South Portland, Auburn, Oxford area, North Conway NH , and one in upstate NY. I've had Their pasta, steak, appetizers etc. Their steak is so hard to chew you're better off going to purchase one of those Kong chew toys for dogs trying to bite through that instead. Their pasta is usually hard and rubbery. You'll be extremely lucky if your food is actually hot and your waitress isn't on their phone the whole time (huge problem at the Auburn ME location). Don't waste your money or the stupid amount of time you'll spend getting food you could've gotten from a frozen TV dinner- I don't know about you, but I want fresh and hot food.
Mediocre at best. Forgot part of the takeout order, burger was over cooked, and fries were cold and stale. But the staff was pleasant.
Always enjo going to applebees's. Fair price and delicious food. Didn't hit the happy hour specials this time but I highly recommend you try them out!
