Yummy sushi! And the fried rice is really good too! I tried the gyoza and the chicken avocado roll for the first time last night and both were super delicious! ?
If I could choose 10 out of 5 stars I would. This place was amazing! Beautiful food presentation, fun modern decor, and amazing food combinations. If you like to step out of your comfort zone with food, or like sushi and raw fish options, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!! This is a hidden gem in the city of Portland and worth going. You won’t be disappointed because not only was the food amazing but the service was very good and friendly too. We will be back again, and hopefully this review is enough to convince anyone else to give it a try. Amazing! After every bite we kept saying “WOW”, and I hope you have the same experience as we did.
Very good sushi/ Japanese! Typically go to Benkay, but I think I found a new favorite. Food was fresh and delicious. All the staff at pickup was nice. Best miso soup I’ve had.Only weird part is they don’t have a sign out front, and inside still has decor and burger mural from the previous tenant. Vibe doesn’t impact the food, and I don’t plan on dining in anytime soon so not a big deal, but I definitely wouldn’t dine in until there is more ~ambiance~
This place just opened not too long ago and I am very happy with the food and the service. I’ve been back at least five times. So far I’ve gotten the chicken lo mein, Kani cucumber salad, sweet potato roll, chicken hibachi, gyoza, spring rolls, tempura ice cream, dumpling soup, and more. The food is always delicious and cooked to perfection. The service is great and the owner is the sweetest person ever. I am definitely coming back and I highly recommend everyone try eating at Tokyo Sushi.
My fiance heard this place had recently opened and we went to try it out. We walked in and got seated immediately, it was a quiet night. The food was delicious and the service great. We ordered the gyoza, beef negimaki, the chicken ramen, and a volcano roll. 10/10 will definitely come back and recommend!
My husband and I have been trying every sushi place in town since moving to Portland. We are SO happy to have finally found our new spot! Delicious, fresh and friendly service. The food was ready quickly and the staff were very helpful. Loved the lunch specials and they were well priced. We’ll be back ASAP!

Service was extremely attentive and quick. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge. Food was a little underwhelming but still quite good. Ingredients were pleasantly fresh. You will not leave hungry!
We need more sushi places in Maine!! This place was AMAZING great friendly service. The sushi was FANTASTIC and they have the BEST tasting drinks in all of Portland. Definitely coming here again and bringing all my friends!!
The menu is extensive and everything we’ve tried has been amazing! Definitely do it!
