Terrific cocktails in a cute establishment. A modern and Scandinavian-inspired beer hall, but for cocktails. Premium but slightly disappointing bar food, but you don't come here for the food when the cocktail menu is this proper.
What a great place for cocktails. Corey was the bartender when we visited and man, he knows his stuff. Don’t be afraid to let him know what you are into drink wise he’ll make you something awesome.
Definitely prefer this as a drinks-only place. The happy hour food options didn’t wow me. But the drinks were good! Depends on what kind of happy hour you prefer.
Food and drinks were on point. The bartender was not very personable to my partner and I. The bartender was very cheery with other customers sitting right next to us, and not us, which ruined our experience. Plenty of other good places to drink and eat at in Portland.
After 3 years this is still my favorite place in Portland. The cocktails and the food are amazing. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to go back!
Delicious small plates, fantastic seafood, great cocktails and the bartender even made on-order drinks according to our preferences. Really appreciated the ability to sit outside while keeping toasty warm with seat and ambient heaters. Recommend!
This is a great, quiet, and upscale spot for drinks and finger foods. If you want to be in bliss, definitely order something from their cocktail menu. If in doubt, ask for the popcorn. This is one of my top spots in Portland and should not be skipped.
We went here for afternoon drinks and sat outside to soak in the unseasonably warm weather in February (50s). As the sun started to go down, they brought us these wonderful seat warmers that kept us very very comfortable so we could continue to enjoy the fresh air. The service was timely and nice. We had a few of the cocktails which were well crafted and fresh as well as a few of the bar snacks which were light Scandinavian inspired fare and easy to share. We liked it so much that when a dinner reservation later in the evening didn’t work out so well, we came back and, upon hearing about our disappointing dinner, the staff quickly got us cocktails, immediately sent us complimentary seasoned popcorn, and had the dinners we ordered rushed and served in 10 minutes. We enjoyed a delicious grilled cheese with tomato soup and one of the best hot dogs we’ve ever had - served in a pretzel roll bun. The restaurant was a great place to gather and reconnect with friends and it saved our evening! It’s been a mandatory stop for us when we visit Portland for many years, and it has only gotten better with time - the team here truly cares about and caters to the guest experience and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves.
The drinks at Hunt and Alpine Club have always impressed me! They have a good variety and the bartenders are very knowledgeable and provided great advice. I went here on a first date with an ex (that didn’t work out, but even that memory isn’t enough to dissuade me from coming back) and they were able to help recommend drinks that were perfect for what each of us wanted.
Good place.. friendly service. Oysters were good. Limited menu. Good drinks.. entree plates were not much to choose from. Being from NJ never seen a health and wellness fee on the bill. That was interesting.
