My boyfriend and I made a reservation for anniversary to The Grill Room. It was our first time coming to this restaurant. Our waitress Shelby was wonderful. She explained the whole menu to us, was very attentive and kind and gave us suggestions on things to eat. The food was delicious especially the bang bang shrimp. We will be coming back for sure!
Carnivore heaven. Our table for two was a little small and was against a wall so we had less elbow room than usual. Our only complaint was that our apps were served asynchronouslyâat least 10 minutes between dishes.
Meal was fabulous. We were a bit too close to the table next to us. Heard their entire business deal.
Steaks were too heavily salted. Scallops were undercooked to our liking. Insufficient dressing for the amount of greens. Service tried too hard to be a 5 star. Noise was unbearable.
Great dinner in Portland. Been here many times and the meals are always very good.
my go to steak house in portland maine. we come up twic a year and never miss. we sat at the chef's table, and i had the bone marrow app and it was excellent, my entree was the ala carte rib eye cooked perfectly to my order and just superb. i eat in nyc's best steak house every week and this compares very favorably it was our anniversary and they treated us very well. the wait staff was attentive but not intrusive the kitchen staff were all very accomidating to our questions, though they were quite busy a great evening
We had reservations for 8 oâclock we didnât get seated until 830. Our waiter was more attentive to a larger party. We did not end up leaving the restaurant until after 10pm. We felt like even though we were sitting and waiting for our waiter he made us feel rushed. We have been here a few times and never run into this before. The beef was not up to normal standard for them. 20 oz piece of beef was actually only about 15 ounces. They were out of lobster risotto which was fine but when asked to get the mushroom risotto we got a âNoâ not very accommodating. Probably wonât be back. Itâs unfortunate.
We had a wonderful dinner and never felt rushed. Our waiter was excellent (Ryan) very helpful . Our steaks were cooked perfectly . They were also able to accommodate our daughter who has gluten & dairy allergies
The food was cooked perfectly, the taste and presentation was really good. Enjoyed the appetizer (Scallops). I had the Ribeye and my wife had the Grilled Tuna w/ Risotto.
We arrived late because our flight to Boston was late. The restaurant was very accommodating and the food was amazing! Would return, for sure!
