My go to Pho spot. Always good.
Thanh Thanh 2 has great Pho! Our family thinks it's the best in town. The spring rolls are great too, and the peanut sauce is to die for. The restaurant has a very friendly staff and the environment has an authentic feel. It's affordable, delicious and welcoming. You'll feel like you are in Vietnam as long as you don't look out the window onto Forest ave. This is the only place we eat Pho.
We've gone here almost every week for about 2 years now. This is my favorite pho in Portland! Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's better than a place in Montreal that had a line out the door of people waiting to get it.
The food (fried calamari) is straight up cold .. told themAnd they microwaved it and brought it back out.. the pho was disgusting.. the seafood inside the pho was not cooked.. the shrimp had a weird slimy texture … one bowl had hair inside of it.. over priced .. this place is not it.
I hate to leave a terrible review, but based on the other reviews I was completely unprepared for how terrible the food was. Pad Thai was mushy and tasteless. Dumplings seemed like they were frozen from a supermarket.
Hats off to Thanh Thanh 2!! I've visited many Vietnamese places and went to this location on a total whim. We were driving down the street on the way to our hotel from Allagash Brewing Company (food is 20% overpriced there by my opinion) and we randomly pulled-in. There are actually ~3 Vietnamese restaurants within a couple blocks of eachother here.We were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant and bathrooms were good. The staff was very kind. The menu pricing is affordable and fair. The food was really good! I'm likely to go back next time I visit Allagash!
The Pho is top notch ! The service is excellent and the prices are reasonable for the portion size and the quality of the food . 10 out of 10 stars
Excellent spot for Vietnamese. Great beef pho. Quick and friendly service.
Worst ever. Lousy inattentive service (son of owner). Lousy tasteless food. Plenty of imitation seafood. Awful lunch. High priced. Terrible quality. Worst meal in Portland.
Food is excellent, service is quick, but the interior could use a little cleaning and update.
