Best biscuits north of the Carolinas, but with a north eastern twist(flaked salt on top). Get the loaded biscuit as it comes with clotted cream and jam, or for the savory get the egg, cheese and ham. Not to be missed, you will not be disappointed.

We tried a little bit of everything and loved it all!! Daily quiche was wonderful with oyster mushrooms, my husband raved about the biscuit with butter and jam, I loved the breakfast sandwich (probably will go back for that before we leave Portland), and the rhubarb hibiscus pie was tart and perfect. Coffee was also great! I tried the malt ice coffee ???

We've all had pastries and baked goods from a coffee shop. It's not passé, but it is no longer exciting. That's where this bakery stands apart. The fennel chocolate cookie being one of the many standout examples.Tandem's reputation in coffee precedes it, so I won't elaborate.Outstanding and worth a visit.

This place is the best! We always come here when we're in town visiting friends. There's usually a line on the weekends, so this time we went on a Thursday morning and had no wait time at all. The biscuits are the best we've ever had. The cookies were great too.

Smooth and perfect cups of coffee enjoyed with the best chocolate chip cookies we have ever had from a bakery. A slight sprinkle of sea salt, just the right amount of chocolate chips (they are chocked full!!!) and crispy edges makes their cookies outstanding! And the gentleman at the order window and young lady at the pick up window were both nice and helpful as could be!

Maybe I just got the wrong things. The malt ice coffee with oat milk was so sour I couldn’t even drink it and the juniper chocolate cake had too much juniper, tasted like I was eating Gin. The lemon thyme pie tasted like I was eating tiger balm…We were leaving Portland and decided to stop by so I didn’t go back and say anything.I hope the other items are better and I am willing to go back and try other things.

Mediocre at best. I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and the biscuit was beyond hard. It felt like I was chewing through pretzels on either side. Seemed like they made the sandwich at 5 this morning and just let it sit out. The latte I got was pretty decent but it wasn't particularly hot when I received it. Hopes for a good breakfast and coffee were definitely perpetuated seeing how many people were there but overall massively disappointing after having to wait in line for close to 15 minutes

Run, don't walk for the best coffee in Portland and a cheese biscuit!!! Stayed across the street at the Francis hotel and was amazed by this great find. Friendly employees & high quality product. Thanks for starting our day on a high note!

The cheddar jalapeño biscuit hits the spot

Great espresso bar. They brew a pretty bold cup. Tasty and in your face. They are about a dollar more for a double espresso than another local espresso bar, but they are also two very different (good) styles of espresso.Friendly people. Good covid safety.
