One of the most fantastic and affordable little restaurants in Portland. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the food or subsequently the service either. Both are consistently marvelous.
Food at Sun is really good and pretty non-pricey. However, there is one thing about this place that bothers me. The amount of ice in the coffee and tea- I'm not exaggerating when I say you get maybe 5-6 sips of the drink before its gone because there is just so much ice in the cups. $4.50 for a few sips of coffee is an actual scam. Please put less ice in the drinks.
Every time I come here so good. The steamed dumplings are delicious and you can tell they’re house made. Nice crunchy veggies inside and good portion.
Best hole in the wall in the city. Top notch food made by a caring staff. Have been back many times and never had a bad meal.
For the absolute best broth and real sauces and peppers on the table, there is no better Pho destination.I have tried many of the local restaurants with Pho on the menu in the area. Most provide decent soup, prices, and experience. However Sun Vietnamese has the absolute best broth and ingredients hands down!The thai ice tea is also amazing here!
I ate three bites of my beef Pho and walked out, it has to be the worst Pho I have ever eaten. Something was off with it and I have never left a bowl of Pho unmolested, it just did not taste right. Just going to pass it by the next time I am in Portland.
Bahn mi was great, bread crispy and not small, fresh veggies. Prices are good. Would have gone 5 star, but I ordered egg rolls and got more of a spring roll
Best beef pho I’ve had in awhile, rich and fully flavored broth that stands on its own without needing any condiments. The steamed dumplings are incredible. Honestly a gem!
Steamed dumplings $6 for 9, look made in hurry, with small filling and too much flour wrap. Pad thai noodles ~ $11 large portion, good taste. Another customer ordered online but order was lost, not made, and canceled.
