Matt was Awesome! So glad we had the chance to meet him & share an inside joke.
Great space! We loved the restaurantâs ambiance in a former Portland mansion and great style in the dining rooms. Service was superb. Food was uneven, however - squid pasta and seafood were perfectly cooked, while a watermelon arugula salad was soggy with too much dressing, and a dense chocolate torte was rock- hard. Coffee was reheated or just plain bitter. Weâd come again - thereâs enough thatâs good about Roma to warrant a repeat visit and see if this first experience was simply due to an off night in the kitchen.
Outstanding as usual.
Fabulous dining experience. Ravioli was amazing ! Staff was attentive and pleasant
Our waiter was awesome!
Great experience! No air conditioning on a hot night was a little oppressive. But overall great place!
This was our first time to Roma Cafe in many, many years. While the initial greeting and service was fine, the restaurant was extremely hot, to the point of being uncomfortable. There were several fans placed around the dining room, so I'm not sure if it was a malfunction in the AC or some other problem. Our waiter was nice, but he forgot a starter salad and butter for our bread. I think the restaurant has a few bugs to work out, at the very least, they need to fix the AC.
Eggplant parm was delish, as was the focaccia bread
Very friendly staff, beautiful old victorian house, well decorated and designed style. Food was variable - first the focaccia was stale (they brought out fresh after we mentioned it) but then stale focaccia was placed on my entree (did not bring out fresh after that). The watermelon, feta, arugula salad was very tasty. Chicken and eggplant parmigiana I would rate so-so...Not sure we would go back if we returned to the area.
Delicious, authentic Italian food. Michelle was an excellent server!
