Loved this place! We couldn't get into the place we intended to eat at so we stopped in here and I am so so glad we did! Amazing Colombian food! Some of the flavors I had here were some of my favorites I've had in a very long time! Specifically the yuca fries were to die for! Outstanding coffee, for sure! I will absolutely be back again soon!
The atmosphere is nice and “cozy “. I ordered a chicken, mushroom with cheese and oregano & vegetable empanadas. They were delicious and hot in temperature so wait for a couple minutes for the food to cool down. The drink I got was a mango limeade. I also ordered a spicy salsa and WOW it’s actually very spicy ! I love spice. Definitely tastes authentic. Around $30 dollars with tip.
Stopped here for a quick late lunch with my family. It has a casual cafe vibe with lots of seating. The dishes we really liked were: Sweet corn Arepa, Vegetable Empanada and Tamales. Pulled pork empanada and Tomate Empanada were average. Yuca fries were hit or miss. The first plate came in perfect, so much so that we placed another order; but this time the yuca was overcooked and too dry. Some items on the menu are a little overpriced, but it is what it is. The service was okay too and so was their Cafe con leche.
Empanadas are quite good especially the cheese one. The Yuka fries were disappointing. They were very dry, old, cold and they had almost no cheese on them. But they were expensive. They should be buried in cheese. No one in this town can make a good margarita either. This place didn't change that opinion.. I think Hector Vazquez had it right in his review below.
The place is located in a perfect corner of a building that looks to a kind of "Plaza" with trees and some tables outside, inside the images and colors takes you exactly where they want to; tropical. enviroment/salsa/regueton/latin culture. The menu has multiples choices, smoothies, empanadillas, tostones, Yuca, patacones and mucho mas! (So much more) and if you ask yourself ok, but how it taste, let me answer that amazing! In the photos(left to Right): tostones. Yuca. and grilled chicken with rice ,beans and sweet plantain, avocado and salad.Love you guys, thanks for exist!
I got the vegetarian platter made with green plantains. They tasted like mature plantains though. The other ingredients with the exception of the vegetables themselves (squash) were ok but not amazing. They seem to have quite a comprehensive menu so I would try empanads next time, or maybe they are a wow for meat eaters. A few nice tables outside, plenty of room inside. Annoying buzzers to tell you when to pick up food from counter, they should turn the piercing sound on them off. Overall nice workers and cute locale.
The campesino coffee is delicious! We were not ready to eat yet and so didn't try the food, but everything sounded delicious!
Not bad, def not authentic cuisine. Almost no spices, flavor just was not there. Cooks to the tune of the locals rather than the latinos, which is not inherently a bad thing but if you're looking for authentic flavor this place is simply not it.The coffee is also pretty watery for a place calling itself a cafe.
For anyone who has wondered if there is more to Latin American food than tacos and burritos, this is your place. There are dishes from Colombia, El Salvador and even Argentina. A fresh juice bar and multiple coffee options.
Empanada enthusiast rejoice! I now have a new empanda standard after eating here twice. The top is the shiny type of crunchy, but a great doughy flavor underneath. The innards are top tier and there are a lot of different and amazing options. Would recommend to anyone!
