I was happy to see a vegan option or two. I was expecting a typical tofu scramble due to a previous reviewer who claimed that the coffee was "fast food grade," that the service was bad, and the food was "stingy." Boy, was she wrong. The wrap was GIMONGOUS, and my friend's sandwich was too. They were both incredibly fresh and flavorful. AND HUGE!!! The freshest spinach, avocado, and other delights with cubed fried tofu in a wrap. And the red potato home fries are fresh and not possibly anything like "fast food grade." I didn't try the coffee, though. lol. The staff was incredibly nice, and offered so much assistance when we ordered and had questions. I thanked the chef, and she took time to talk with me. I almost hugged her, it was so amazing. And, the pottery and art are wonderful. I'm saving up for a bowl I fell in love with.

Had the most peaceful, lovely morning here. Good food served hot, handmade mugs to use for in-house coffee, cute wooden tables and chairs and pottery available for our hade from different artists. I got the Good Morning breakfast and a chocolate French Roast cookie (the cookie is amazing). Also the drip coffee was nice and flavorful. Staff were very kind. Masks required when not at table.

Went for the first time post-pandemic and was expecting the usual level of quality. I expected some changes due to Covid. The general atmosphere was about the same and pleasant. Staff was just plain rude. I ordered a rueben on gluten free bread and a coffee. With tip $17.00. (shouldn't have left the tip). The sandwich was the stingiest thing I've ever seen. Tiny slices of bread; maybe an ounce or so of corned beef; one half slice cheese; and no kraut....none. The menu reads "choice of sides" but the guy behind the counter told us, in no uncertain terms, that we would get chips...that was the only choice. The table next to us, however, was served homies as a side. I would have said something in the moment but didn't want to make my dining companion uncomfortable. I enjoyed the company and the coffee (fast-food grade) and went my merry way. Not the Portland Pottery Cafe I remember. Another COVID casualty I suppose.

This was an amazing revisit. So much has improved from our last visit a few years ago- it was already a favorite now it is really a total gem. The staff, setting and scene is warm welcome casual. The food original and fresh. Cooked perfectly. The tofu scramble as you may have already read is so good. The flavor and freshness makes it warm and superb. The spinach has a crisp snap while the artichoke hearts add the extra texture. The buttermilk biscuits stay together long enough to make a yummy tofu scramble or smother in homemade jam.

Nice little spot. I got a hot chocolate and it already had a skin on top when it arrived, so a slight bummer. Also, masking didn't seem very strongly enforced. People were at tables, not actively eating, and still weren't wearing masks. Ah well.

Such a wonderful experience! And what a good idea letting people oogle at the pottery while enjoying their breakfast. I felt like I was at my grandmother’s kitchen table waiting for her home cooked meal. They have a vegan scramble that is excellent.

Wow, didn't realise how attached I was to this place until I was on a Safari to Kenya and was really craving the grilled chicken panini ??? what a delight to be

Food was fresh and delicious! Their pottery options were beautiful and creative. Definitely worth the visit

Every time I’ve gotten food here I’ve loved it. I can’t speak for the eggs due to allergies (however they looked great), but they’ve got the best tofu scramble I’ve had in a cafe/restaurant. Great flavor, big portions, and charming atmosphere. On top of there being tofu available, there’s also gluten free options. The staff are quick and kind, and even when the place is packed they ensure quality service!

Great little place with great coffee and breakfast. We had a decent sized meal and got to plan out our day there. Definitely a good place to stop by and eat
