Edit: I feel the need to clarify my comment about the crust. There was nothing wrong with how it was made, I think. I just wanted it to be better. A lot of people seem to like it, but it just seemed like it could have been crispier on the outside and chewier on the inside. It seemed kind of dense and soft but like it's probably just how this style of crust is.I really want this place to be better. The salad was really fresh and good. The spinach artichoke dip was clearly refrigerated or frozen because we had to have it reheated but I don't really expect anyone to make that to order and it was good; lots of spinach and artichoke. The pizza toppings were good. There's just something not right with the crust.

Won't be coming back after the service we had today. Said they were short staffed which I totally understand but when I personally bussed the table, asked for boxes and asked for check. Each time I went up with dirty dishes or to ask for something the bartender was on his phone so that gave me the indicator they weren't that short staffed if you had time to do this. My daughters birthday dinner turned into me working for free. I left no tip as I did the work. Very unpleased.

We came here on a Christmas Gift Certificate for dinner and the dinner was good, but they refused to accept a gift card that they advertise that they belong to. We brought with us the Buoy Local card which proudly advertises all Portland Pie restaurants and our $59 dollar bill ended up costing us $59 dollars. The Moosehead Pie was good our server, Zachary, was good but this false advertising left a very bad taste in our mouth. Beware.

Ok, so our server was pleasant enough, albeit not very attentive. My son and daughter-in-law went to college in Portland and have fond memories of dining here. Why, I don’t know. Must be nostalgia for them. Maybe it was good once upon a time? We visited in December just before dinner time. The place was almost empty. Employees were hanging out around bar area. The dining room cold and drafty. Weak beer list. Our pizzas looked like they were built by drunken frat boys. Ugly, lukewarm and unappetizing. My salad barely edible, I had to pick out the decomposing greens. I certainly wasn’t going to try to explain to our server when it’s time to toss out old spring mix. Besides, I would have had to go find her to do so. No responsible cook staff would have sent out the food we received in the first place. Wasn’t cheap either. I could not leave this place fast enough. Domino’s would have been better.

Very great service, clean and friendly staff. Pizza was good (for Maine), but I shouldn't have gotten extra cheese because it was just way too much. Still a cool spot to check out.

Working in the Portland area and was looking for a nice place to grab lunch. The Portland Pie Company did not disappoint. Attentive staff and the pie was fresh and delicious. I will be stopping in again when back in the area. Great Job!

I’ve lived in Maine my entire life and eaten at Portland Pie’s numerous locations more times than I can count, but after the customer service nightmare I experienced the other day, I will never go back. I placed an order at 6pm for delivery, I was told it would be about an hour, possibly a little longer. No big deal. 7:45 rolls around, no pizza. I know they closed at 8 so I called to make sure they didn’t have a mix up or something. A lady picks up, says “we’re no longer taking orders” and immediately hangs up the phone before I can get a word in. I call back, she picks up and hangs up. I call back 8 more times. She keeps picking up, and immediately hanging up the phone. The last time she put me on hold for 5+ minutes, probably so I would stop calling. They were still open for 15 minutes, and I couldn’t get a sliver of a word in to check on my 70$ order. My sister starts calling and faces the same fate, immediately hung up on each time. We must have called 20 times total and we’re just continuously hung up on. Finally at 7:59 someone answers, tells me they have no idea who would have been doing that, and says there’s been a mixup with my order and he would personally deliver it. Nothing was comped or taken off my bill, it was one of the worst instances of customer service I have ever personally witnessed in my life.

After waiting an hour and 28 minutes for a delivery, they reported through the app that our order was complete. After checking, it was nowhere to be found. I called and, after being put on hold for awhile, was told that there was a mistake, our pizzas were ready now and just needed a driver to return for them to be delivered. The person answering stated that the driver would take roughly 10 minutes to return, and our food would be sitting under heat lamps for that entire time, and that is "pretty standard." I told them we'll see and then asked his name, and he hung up! Go to Leonardo's Pizza instead; great customer service there, unlike some places.

This place is GREAT! The food is absolutely delicious, if you eat in the atmosphere is wonderful, and if you order take out it is ready right on time and piping hot. We're vegan, and they make one of the best vegan pizzas we've ever eaten. But even better than all that are the staff and the service they provide. They truly go above and beyond. I can't say enough good things about Portland Pie. Eat there yourself and you will see what I mean. Highly recommended!

My office highly recommended the pizza from Portland Pie Co, and boy did they deliver. Ordered on a Friday at 5 and picked up at 5:40. The bartender who greeted me was incredibly nice and even allowed me to add a to go beverage. The food as seen in the pictures was delicious. The nachos are loaded! See you soon for our next pizza night. Kudos to a great staff as well. ?
