Sometimes OTTOs is good and sadly, sometimes they fail. You never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes my Caesar salad is full of lettuce, shaved parm and croutons and sometimes it’s a box half full of lettuce sans croutons with a sprinkle of finely grated parm. Last night was a night of the latter salad. I hope they can fix these inconsistencies or I’m going to have to find myself a new favorite pizza place.
Superb crust with many delicious options on the menu. Loved the pineapple, bacon and hot honey plus the eggplant, ricotta, and basil.
we visited post lunchtime and were the only guests in the restaurant. the choice was excellent , and staff were attentive and helpful. the margueritta cocktail was delicious . Our eyes were bigger than our tummies and we had to take some home with us .
I see a bunch of new reviews for this place, but as far as I know its been closed for multiple years. Am I just being too timid to push the door open that says closed or what? Please open up (or confirm for me you're open!) so I can eat all of your pizzas!!
This is the best pie I have had in Northern New England. The original location on Congress has been quite consistent over the years, South Portland less so, but better than Yarmouth in terms of crust quality on proper proportions of ingredients EVERY time. I have dined in, picked up and had delivery. It's a little pricey but compared to what else, it's the best value too in my opinion. Looking forward to trying some additional locations, but I drive to Congress Street mostly now.
The pizza was so good. Neat wall decorations, and you can watch sports on the multiple televisions if that’s your thing. We went after riding the Polar Express. It was not crowded that Saturday evening. The wooden booths are not comfortable, but don’t let that stop you. They seemed to have a nice beer and wine selection, and my grown son enjoyed the tiramisu.
Great pizza, comfortable restaurant, calm atmosphere. Would definitely return!
For pizzas without sauces, and given these challenging times -- we get delivery -- it's awesome. For pizzas with sauces (any sauce), the pizzas arrive soggy and it's a major turnoff. You go to pull apart a slice from a pizza with sauce and everything comes off. You need to fold the pizza on itself to keep it from dropping everything into your lap or onto a plate if we're at a table. Not cool, and this has happened at least 6 times over the past 18 months. Maybe 10% of the time we get a pizza with sauce where it's not gross crust wise.
Otto's has the best pizza I have had in a long time. I wish I had it here in California. The crust was perfect crispy and thin . The flavors were delish . Easy pick up too .
The pizza was everything we had been dreaming of. The crust was delicious and the cheese and toppings were on point. Just writing this is making us salivate. Enough said.
