My wife and I dined on the 4th after realizing that most of the city was closed. We’re glad we did! The hostess was very nice and got us a table right away in the windows. Our waitress Emily was wonderful and answered all our questions like a pro. She made the recommendation to get the lobster with fettuccine and a scallop risotto dish. Both were delicious and good portions. My wife couldn’t finish her pasta! Overall the food was very good but the service was the best we had in Portland. Every person that was working there that night was friendly. Good experience.

We chanced up on this place last day in Portland. We were very fortunate to have found this place. After the usual "let me see if we have a table" we were seated near the bar on a high top.The waitress was very polite and happy to talk us through the menu.We ended up ordering the Crudo, clam chowder, coconut shrimp, and the twin lobster poached in butter. The food was scrumptious and we ate every morsel. The lazy lobster was a tad chewy due to being twice cooked but still way better than some of the local places. My kid gulped down the whole clam chowder bowl without looking up. The coconut shrimp were very flavorful and gave a nice crunch to the otherwise softer dishes. The hero was the Crudo. Just so beautiful that it could pass as a plate of art than food. We finished the broth clean. This ended our Maine Trip on a really high note.

Fantastic food and service. The grilled scallops with seafood risotto was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again.

We felt it fortunate to get a 6:30pm reservation on a Saturday, since we were staying a couple doors down at the Hilton Garden Inn. The inside is very cool looking, with lots of space and natural light. There are a lot of smooth surfaces though, so the acoustics were not great. It really wasn’t that crowded, but we had a hard time hearing each other from across the table. The restaurants in Portland are phenomenal, so compared to our other meals, this was just ok. I had a lobster pasta dish that was somewhat bland and quite oily. My girlfriend had the scallops, which came with a risotto that was also bland, and big mushrooms which just sort of seemed out of place. The scallops themselves were good though. Even by Portland standards, the dinner was pricey, and as I said, was just ok. I think it’s very possible to have a great experience here, we just didn’t on this particular day. The in-house sommelier, Justin, is really great though. He checked on our table and was very friendly. Overall, I don’t know that we’d return here on our next trip, just due to finding several other spots that we were much happier with.

The oysters were delicious - and my favorite part of the meal. The lobster roll and lobster linguini were just okay.

Kyle, the bartender, was fantastic! The general manager was friendly and fun to talk to. We had appetizers and they were delicious. The atmosphere is very nice. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we return to Portland!

Shout out to Justin the GM! We had made a reservation for 15 women to celebrate for a bachelorette party weekend. Old Port was our first stop for a nice dinner. Food/drinks/ atmosphere were great! He was a great host and very professional. He gave some great recommendations for other bars and spots to hop around to (we also checked out Bonfire & Ri Ra’s after) Our server was on her game too.. kept the drinks full and was very interactive with us. Thanks for making our weekend memorable!! Cheers!! ???

The sauce on the lobster roll was fantastic. This was my first lobster roll in Maine and it did not disappoint! We tried all of the four different oyster options on the menu and enjoyed each of them and their distinct flavor profiles. Justin stopped by our table to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time! Overall a great experience. Food was delish.

Old Port Sea Grill & Raw Bar was great. Staff was helpful and polite. Justin was great too. Noted that our table was drafty and asked if we would like to move, but we declined. Honestly, part of the reason we went was because of Justin's hilarious comments on less dignified reviews of the restaurant. The oysters were exactly as described on the menu, and while others complain about 4 choices, the appeal is that these are local oysters and I prefer that to importing them from Prince Edward Island for instance. The Lobster Rolls are made classically Maine style with a mayonnaise sauce and are worth it. The bun was well toasted and is a perfect portion and consistency. Lobster is cooked very well and comes in large chunks as it should be. Not sure what kind of Lobster rolls that others are used to, but this is the only way I have ever seen them presented. The Lobster Pad Thai is an interesting take, and unexpected at this restaurant, but was very good. Again, Lobster was perfectly cooked and the flavors were brought out well by both the Pad Thai and the Rolls. The fish and chips were good as well. My only critique would be that the batter contains a little too much salt, however it could be from salting the fries, as the filets are served on top of the fries. Not concerning enough to raise complaints in the restaurant though. Like everything else, perfectly cooked. All in all, if I were to stay in the Portland area for an extended time, I would come back 100%
