After 2 visits, I’m ready to make this a regular stop! Being vegan and gluten-free, I haven’t been to an Italian restaurant in eons. But Monte’s handles both deliciously. The gf crust is amazing, and they have so many great vegan options, none of which are compromises. My first time, I split a summer pizza. Next time, a Grilled Asparagus Bowl. Each ingredient is individually made with care and attention. So yummy! The hummus was creamy and phenomenal. Nothing is oily or saturated with garlic, like some places. And the best is their selection of gourmet foods! We topped off lunch by splitting a pint of Sticky Sweet ice cream (the best ice cream in Portland, which happens to be plant based.)Thanks to the staff that’s incredibly kind and patient - I’m always so indecisive and inquisitive when ordering (I take my food seriously!)The outside covered patio is the only seating available, but it’s great. Order at the counter. Lots of compostable packaging. And as a vegan, I very much appreciate that they make their own faux meats. I’m personally not into the processed stuff.

Monte's is INCREDIBLE. They make a perfect pie and the the options for toppings are just wonderful. The price isn't expensive, for $23 you get a perfect pie for 2-3 people. I have been many times and never had a bad experience. The OWNER went to Rome to learn how to make pizza... how can you go wrong? A must try in the Portland area.

This place is awesome! We got pizza and sandwiches and I’m bummed I haven’t been sooner. The hot chicken sandwich brings the HEAT, but in a good way! The pizza crust was crunchy and the sauce was sweet. There’s lots of local products to browse and shop while you wait for your food. Parking was plentiful and they have an outside seating area if you’re looking to eat there! Highly recommend Monte’s!

Mmmmm just got home from Montes. I went in for two slices of their grab and go slices.. but obviously I couldn’t help but to grab a few groceries. Fresh little oranges with the leaves still on it.. some local veggies, house roasted sliced turkey breast, and local cheese! MmmIt’s a little expensive here, 8 dollars per slice of pizza always makes my chest feel tight but their store is always so clean and friendly and they do everything from scratch with thoughtful ingredients so you do get what you pay for.

The chicken and asparagus pizza is so very delicious! It is new on the spring menu, replacing the chicken and broccoli, a specialty pizza that was on the winter menu. The chicken and asparagus are seasoned to perfection, the crust is crispy, the cheese melted to evenly spread all over the pizza. Highly recommend! It is definitely a culinary creative success!

We live right across the street from Monte's and it is a great place to get pizza if you don't feel like cooking. They also have lots of ingredients if you do want to cook. Love their desserts especially the three layer mousse great friendly people. Would definitely recommend visiting them. <3

I have never been disappointed getting food from Monte's. The quality of their food is top notch and you can tell they really care about what they are putting out. If you are near Washington Ave, you will not regret stopping in.

This is a first rate sandwich and pizza shop with a selection of wine, spirits and delicacies that could hold its own in San Francisco. They took my order with great patience and took the time to answer my questions and show me around the place.I ordered three sandwiches, which were actually flatbread rolled around extremely fresh veggies. The cookies were more like scones, delicious.

Delicious pizza, I made a custom one for it to be vegan, and they had vegan parm and fake meat, and veggies. Also a great little Italian shop with exquisite selections of fine foods.

This place makes and serves great food and the people in the back are truly preparing it themselves. They also have a great selection of local and wholesome good brands along with fresh produce. I just wish it were a little less expensive.
