It just wouldn’t be a trip to Portland for us without going to Marcy’s. It is simply the best in both friendly service and great food. We both loved our breakfasts this morning, as always. My wife loved the French Toast special and I absolutely loved today’s Garden Omelette special. The owner and her entire staff are the best!
Maybe we misunderstood how seating went. We arrived and we were told 20-30 min. We stepped outside to wait and two other couples checked in and waited outside with us. A fourth couple came up and told staff he needed seats for two. A couple exited the restaurant and the host stepped out and told the fourth couple a table was ready for them. This left us and the two other couples a little surprised since we had all been standing outside for 20 min waiting for seats. It was too late for us to find another place to eat because we were on a schedule so we waited for the next tableThe food was good and they were quick plating it for us.
First-time visit, and I found that the place is really tiny. It has a counter with stools and only four wooden booths. It's a little too cramped and 'cozy' for my blood, especially seeing that COVID is still around. At this time, there are still mask mandates at a lot of stores, coffee shops, etc. Anyway, I had heard that they have good muffins, so I got a raspberry muffin to go. It was good but average, and a bit overpriced for a diner at $4 and change.
Stopped in for lunch and any expectations I had were blown away. Started with breakfast sandwiches, but moved on to hash, hash browns, strawberry pancake (amazing recommendation by the cook. Fluffiest, most buttery pancake I’ve ever had and HUGE), and three different kinds of muffins. Everything was perfect and I’m already thinking about the next meal I’ll have there.
A must-visit for a Sunday breakfast!! Very delicious and friendly staff.
It’s fairly small but has character. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We had breakfast and our food was delicious. If you like blueberries get a blueberry muffin grilled. They have daily specials. Highly recommend.
Great way to start off an early morning. Generous portions, friendly service & classic funky Portland ambiance. Booths are hard and straight-backed, would recommend bringing a jacket for support/cushioning.
A truly delightful & delicious diner experience. Food was great & cooked to perfection. The pancakes are HUGE & fluffy. Wait staff are attentive & pleasant. Open til 1pm so get there early. Will be back & highly suggest you dine there whether you are a local or a tourist. They also serve lunch items too.

Great service! I was seated at the bar almost immediately and had a hot and delicious breakfast in front of me within 15 minutes. Good coffee, awesome chocolate chip pancake, and an insane amount of bacon!!? ?
