The food is excellent, the chefs do a great job, and the portions are good-sized! The service is a bit varied, depending on who you get served by. As is true everywhere right now, they are understaffed. The acoustics are on the loud side, and the room itself (hibachi) is loud and harsh, which is fine if you are having a birthday party, but bad if you are trying to have a conversation or are on a date.
The ambiance sets the mood for the awesome food. Huge selection on menu for rolls, combination plates, appetizers. Full service huge bar. We had the scorpion bowl. Yum yum! All of this in the dining area. Then, in addition they have a full hibachi. All so reasonably priced. Servers are knowledgable and happy to help and advise. Cannot wait to go back
They were able to accommodate our party of 7 without much notice. Staff was friendly and attentive. Chef at our table was entertaining and cooked the food just right.
We had a great hibachi experience. We had four kids who had never experienced hibachi before and our chef was fantastic with them. The experience and the food were great!

Kon Asian Bistro is one of the best sushi ? places I've been to in Maine. Absolutely delectable and a fantastic presentation. The atmosphere is very comfortable and spacious, but tight as well near the bar.Definitely a great experience and excellent place to go on a date. The wait staff are pleasant, and the chocolate cake is top notch. Definitely recommend 10/10 ign.
My family and I enjoyed the hibachi immensely! The chef cooking for us was amazing! The show was so fun and the food was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!
This bistro was recommended to us for dinner as it was close by where we were staying. So glad we tried it! The interior is very relaxing and well done, the food was delicious, and our waitress did a great job. Everyone seem to be enjoying their meal and I didn’t see anyone send anything back the entire time we were there! The only downside was we were sitting back by the kitchen/waitress area and there seem to be a disagreement between a few waitresses that got a little loud at one point. Will definitely go back again!
It happened to be my birthday and I love enjoying the hibachi and drinks at kon. Definitely a memorable night.
My husband and I came here for dinner after checking into a nearby hotel after driving for hours. We walked about 10-15 minutes to get to it so that was very convenient. The food was excellent but somewhat pricey. But then again anywhere you go these days prices are extreme so I guess we all need to get used to that. I wasnât happy with the fact that water was not refilled on a regular basis and I ran out of my one glass of water and had to drink my husbandâs. Other than that, the service was good and the ambiance was very pleasant. Recommend coming here.
