I went to this IHOP location for the first time earlier today by myself and I got the steak tips and egg breakfast with an added side of home fries that was advertised on the menu for no more than $16. I finished my meal then waited for about 20 minutes to receive my bill from the waitress whom was obnoxious throughout my entire experience there. The bill some how came to $28. I hate dishonesty especially when it happens in a professional setting. That being said, I paid my bill then left..
Just left ihop in Portland maine with the wrong order and a hair in my eggs. Usually when I do a pick up order I check my bag,but this time I came in through the back door where you pick up online orders and call in’s…well I stood by the door for 20 minutes,just having staff walk by me like I was a coat rack just standing there….so I finally go to the front door where the hostess is and she’s just sitting on a stool legs crossed foot bouncing and 5 more minutes later I finally made I contact with one of the waitresses and she took my order. She said food will be ready in 6 minutes I say cool thank you…put a five dollar tip in her hand. While taking my order she repeats it back to me and I say yeah that’s correct. I go to the car sit outside a few minutes and head back inside,we’re I meet the waitress that took my order outside walking to meet me…I tell her thanks and grab my food cause I’m hungry as hell for one plus I’m frustrated cause I just come from the gym exhausted ready to eat and had to wait 25 minutes to order with no crowd. I call while I’m at the gym no one ever picks up the phone! Plus I try using the website it never works…totally bad business and straight trash!
I haven't been in years but the kids got to choose the restaurant so we went here. I was pleasantly surprised for a chain restaurant. The food was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the waitstaff was sweet as pie. And the place was super clean.

I would just like to tell a very short story about how my friend Rex who is 65 years old he is a homeless man out of the Portland area. I took him in to Denny's in Portland to get breakfast on a cold Winter's day in January 2022. We ordered our food with our server who was very rude and after eating our cold yucky breakfast my friend Rex was refused a bathroom to use and then the manager came out and told us for NO REASON, to leave and never come back! It was the worst experience because all my friend Rex needed was a hot breakfast he doesn't bother anyone and never sticks up for himself or creates a fuss! So in looking for another breakfast place to eat we found IHOP in Portland and from the start of walking into that restaurant was so nice and clean the hostess was amazing and sat us immediately with a smile our server Bethany she was amazing so nice and kind she took our order and treated us like human beings she was not judgmental and she took our order the same way she takes everyone's orders with a smile and gracious heart! My friend Rex absolutely loves his fried eggs and his bacon so we now visit the Portland IHOP twice a week. I had told the servers about what had happened to us with our experience at Denny's and the server from IHOP told Rex and myself that we were allowed at IHOP anytime and that they would love to have us!! I can't even tell you how much this warms my heart knowing that I can take my friend who has fallen on some hard times into a restaurant to eat a very nice warm meal and have the best servers in the best wait staff around us! You are amazing IHOP and we love you so much! We will be there every Tuesday and Friday for bacon and eggs comforted by the graciousness and smiles of everyone in the restaurant at IHOP! Keep on being the most amazing restaurant in the world because from my point of view you absolutely are! We love you IHOP thank you so much for your hospitality!
This IHOP is a must visit! The service is lightning fast and the food is great! It's alot like going over to your friends moms house for breakfast at lunch and she is a stellar cook!
Sidewalks not salted. I slipped and fell. Put salt down!!!!! I called to let them know that it ‘s slippery and dangerous and they should put salt down. I spoke to a manager, I believe her name was Amanda. No apology, nothing just ,and I quote,’Okey Dokey’…WTF!!
Love the Sopo IHOP. great food and service consistently. HOWEVER. I was profoundly disappointed on February 3, 2022 to find the partitions between booths had been removed!! I can't understand the decision to putting patrons at risk.
I always enjoy getting breakfast here. Many of the servers know me by first name. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Ordered Crepes and got this ?it was really sloppy and soggy. Super bummed out as we came for my daughters birthday .
