Gross Confection Bar is a definite stop when I visit Portland, Maine. The cocktails are delicious and the desserts are spectacular. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable.
Such a fabulous spot! Stopped by for breakfast sandwich and coffee this morning. (Yeah, they do breakfast too.) Will be back for more! Everything taste amazing so far and the space and ambience is amazing.
Personally this is the first time I've been to what I consider a dessert restaurant but I am so glad that these exist because the desserts were amazing!I felt like there was a clear attention to detail in crafting the desserts and that really put them over the edge for us in terms of quality & taste.Can't forget to mention that our server was extremely helpful and had really good knowledge of the different desserts and what we might be interested in trying.
The desserts here are amazing - both taste and presentation. I've never had such interesting desserts, it was really cool to experience without having to go to some crazy expensive restaurant where you pay hundreds for crumbs arranged neatly on a plate. This place gets a lot of hype and it's well-earned! I hope to return soon.
This place was awesome! Had a great time with some decadent desserts!!! Just amazing!
Very okay. Buttermilk biscuit, butter, and strawberry jam was a little stale and was served cold. The cappuccino was more on the latte side… lots of steamed milk. All very edible, but not very great. Everything was packaged togo even though I asked if I could eat inside the restaurant.
On a whim my husband and I celebrated my birthday with dessert here. Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe the service, and the desserts we received. Our waiter Casey was so professional and knowledgeable of the menu. My husband and I were sincerely impressed with him after we sat down and he introduced himself, and told us some information about the restaurant and desserts. To top it off the desserts were out of this world. This will be our go to spot for incredible desserts and experience.
Dana my server was great, attentive, friendly, professional & answered all my Qs. Lots of choices on the menu, made it hard to choose but very happy w/my choice: Gross Confection Mess - fudge cake, dark choc mousse, salted caramel mousse, pearls, toasted fluff, caramel corn, hazelnut meringue
Excellent breakfast sandwiches and incredible scones. Coffee was decent and service was pleasant and fast. Good place for a filling breakfast.
100% DELICIOUS!!! We had the dark chocolate and caramel torte. First off the waiter Jacob, was so knowledgeable of every dessert. We were not disappointed with the one we chose. It was literally so good that you’d want to lick the plate. For drinks we had the cappuccino and mint tea. They also offer water. They literally blew our minds on how great their customer service was. 10/10 would def recommend!!
