Definitely our favorite restaurant in Portland, Fore Street continues to serve up amazing meals with exceptional service. Special treats this summer included an heirloom tomato tart topped with whipped goat cheese and also a salad with wild blueberries, roasted corn, & toasted almonds over fresh greens. Spouse had the hanger steak and I enjoyed the mussels. No room for dessert so we took home a box of handmade chocolates. Highly recommend.

Contenders come and go, some quite worthy, but Fore Street remains the champ of high-end dinging in Portland. Always fresh, inventive, friendly, and never pretentious or merely trendy. A truly classic restaurant.

Our first trip to Portland, Maine This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food was wonderful - the best fish dish I have ever had. Every course was great. Our waiter was informative and attentive Reserve this one early! Itâs well worth it
