Amazing Fries and you can't leave without having a Blueberry and Buttermilk milkshake!

Always fantastic. Great food amazing service.

We really enjoyed Duckfat! It’s a smaller location and very popular so we waiting about 30 min to get in for lunch. They did a great job seating customers as quickly as possible. Our server was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered Belgian fries, house sodas, and paninis. The food was incredible! Can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in Portland.

Overall, an excellent experience and would highly recommend. Fries were super crunchy and amazing, but slightly over salted. Ham/bread/golden raisin mustard special was awesome. Lemon thyme spritzer and orange dream beverages, also wonderful. The beet special was wonderful, however not as cider forward as we expected and a bit spicy. Not many kid friendly options for smaller plates (I know they are not necessarily going for that crowd, but my kids aren’t super picky and can usually find something anywhere.)

Such good food and Ryan is the best waiter ever.

A Tuesday around 1:15 pm we, a couple, dropped in for lunch and got indoor seating immediately. We must have hit a lull just right because people just after us had to wait to be seated. We shared a large order of the famous duck fat fries with their 2 most popular sauces (truffle ketchup and garlic mayonnaise), plus each of us had a duck banh mi. There was a difference of opinion on this: I liked it, he wasn't crazy about it. We polished off the fries then couldn't finish the sandwiches. We both had their house made root beer which was paler in color from the normal bottled stuff, and excellent. It's a small-ish place with tables and counters inside plus a few tables of sidewalk seating. A fun spot and a change of pace from all the seafood places in town.

I first visited this place the year it opened - Portland was a different town then - and to this day the restaurant delivers the ducky goods. The fries and dips are excellent. The poutine is terrific. I admit i haven't had anything else (!). If you are into fries, this is for you. They have an outpost at Oxbow brewing which is a godsend.

After years of hearing how amazing Duckfat is, I couldn't miss it when I was close to Portland last week. My mom and I visited on a rainy Thursday and there was still a wait, which I always take as a good sign that the food is incredible. AND IT WAS. Best sandwich I ever had in my life, the flight of fries we shared was so yum, and the Duckfat original milkshake with salted caramel was heavenly. Best of all, though, was our waiter Ryan. As busy as it was in there, he gave us such warm, personalized attention. Nothing felt rushed, and he was just so kind and welcoming. We loved the entire Duckfat experience, but we loved Ryan the most. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant when you're in Portland!

Hubby and I were restaurant hopping before our flight out of Portland. We went here mainly for the poutine. It was delicious, so I had to order extra fries. Their homemade cookies and cream shake was the best I've ever had. We also tried their grape soda and it was not bad. Staff were great and the place was very nice. Overall, a fantastic afternoon snack.

First time at this restaurant and not the last. Incredible meal at the bar served by Josh who was amazing. Started with poutine French fries with an egg followed by asparagus salad and smoke duck breast and kale salad. Finished off with the donuts fried in duck fat with caramel sauce. Died and went to heaven! Loved every course! Whole staff was so sweet to us.
