Great food!
Amazing starters and intros to dinner along with some great drinks that doubled as dessert! ?
Our table inside was ready when we arrived. Service was friendly and prompt. We split a Caesar salad which was well above average and with white anchovies. For entrees we had the stuffed haddock and lobster seafood ravioli. Both met our expectations for creative preparation, exquisite taste and were cooked to perfection. The garlic knots were perfect to eat with left over sauces and we were too full for what looked like good dessert choices. When back in Portland we would definitely come again.
Consistently excellent tasty food and drinks. Iâve written many other reviews of Davidâs, we keep going back.
Sat right on time. Waitress was attentive Food was very good
Excellent food preparation and service. Sirloin and lamb were both cooked to specifications and vegetables/potatoes cooked with duck fat were great.
Ok, had reservations for outside. Patio was not appealing, dirty. So went to the bar for dinner. I had duck. No crispy skin duck as it states. Wouldn't order again. Husband's birthday. Requested a candle for his dessert. No candle. However ravioli was good. And tuna app was nice. The chef however shouldn't run his hands threw his hair and put his ball cap back on n not wash his hands. Really.!!!. Oh it wasn't David.ð
Sat in the back room which has a more intimate and romantic feel. The garlic knot rolls are sinful. Ordered a Margherita Pizza to start - delicious flavor and crust, but bottom crust was doughy. Haddock & Crab entree with Blueberry Lavendar Gastrique was one of the most delightful fish dishes I have ever eaten. Hubby ordered the special - Swordfish grilled kabobs. He said they were just "good" but not the best - odd garnish of toasted croutons and olives. Server was friendly, subtle and attentive. Skip dessert and go have gelato nearby!
Superb deconstructed ravioli
Food was fantastic and the outdoor patio was perfect ambiance.
