A pescatarian and a vegetarian go to Portland and this seemed like a great place where we could both get good healthy interesting food. For some reason I did not realize that this was not a table service restaurant. It has counter service and a few tables inside and street side. We had 2 bowls, 1 Asian, 1 Aztec and both were good and fresh loaded with veggies and tasty sauce/dressing. We shared a small order of poutine, such a wonderful comfort/junk food and when I find a vegan version I order it. It was great. The gravy was almost the real thing. I would come back when I wanted a casual vegan meal. I do have to comment that the young ladies working did not seem thrilled that we were there. No pleasantries, they did not add to the experience.

Vegan food hearty enough to win over omnis. Darn good poutine and small but tasty sandwiches.

First time there... Found it confusing how ordering and serving of food occurred and got very little guidance from staff. Then the food ended up being awful. Greasy fries, sloppy, greasy sandwich.... Inedible

The worst. Seriously angry after dropping $25 on a plate of cold/lukewarm fake food. The muffin was frozen. Meaning, of course, everything is boxed, delivered frozen, and simply reheated. Even the bagel was gross. Avoid this corporate mess.

Copper Branch has such a good selection when it comes to low carb, healthy and green meals. I really appreciate the selection and quality. I have been trying to drastically reduce carbs and sugar and couldn't wait to visit Portland as I knew their menu had some interesting stuff and I was not disappointed. The Keto Bowl is so good. Lovely mix of good for you items like like organic tempeh (my new favorite food - just such a cool texture and amazing taste), Konjac noodles (a good substitute for real noodles - appear and taste very much like glass noodles), olives, zucchini, avocado and red cabbage (sure I'm missing some). Such a gorgeous medley and colorful - and better yet, very filling. My dining partner went with a Falafel Unity wrap on a spelt wrap (yes, spelt!). This tasted amazing too. Everything worked so well together and it was also quite filling. If you're looking for healthier options that taste good and are filling, at a really good price, I cannot recommend Copper Branch highly enough. Their food proves that just because it's good for you doesn't mean it has to be boring and bland!

I discovered this place while visiting Maine and I went three times in the 4 days I was in Portland! I have a lot of dietary restrictions and allergies and they were patient and helpful answering my questions. The breakfast skillet, black bean burger, frozen cappuccinos, and desserts were amazing (especially the zucchini brownie and smores cookie)! I will DEFINITELY be back next time I am in Maine!

My best friend and I were visiting Portland for the day and are avid Vegans, so we were eagerly looking for a new joint to try out. The downtown location was clutch. Plenty of on street parking. From the moment we walked through the doors, the customer service was superb! The cashier and other employees were super friendly and did an excellent job explaining their menu. The restaurant was clean and had such a wonderful variety of options. I tried the Keto Protein bowl and it was delicious, particularly the tofu which was cooked and seasoned amazingly! Both of us will definitely be back soon, especially in the summer as we’d love to try out their outdoor seating!!

Good in a pinch, but not anything amazing in a city filled with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Quite pricey for the quality and portion sizes, however portion sizes between different dishes vary wildly. The large fries are huge though!

I’ve been here a couple times & the food is great. I went in today and did not have a mask (forgot in my car, my mistake) as I went in the woman behind the counter immediately & rudely asked if i had a mask, i apologized as I forgot it in my car and asked if I could possibly grab one to order, she very audibly HUFFED and PUFFED like a child and not exaggerating - threw the mask over the counter at me??? and blurted out “here or to go” again, super rude. I said “for here” and she audibly huffed again. I was really shaken up and just genuinely distraught and couldn’t even focus on the menu and was so uncomfortable I just left. I completely understand the frustration of people forgetting their masks (although the mandate has been lifted), but being completely rude, hostile and throwing a mask at someone is just.. beyond me. I’ve worked in customer service for 6 years now and couldn’t imagine treating someone like that when they just made a simple mistake. Definitely will not be back, which is unfortunate because the other times have been pleasant. This experience was scarring as this woman was so rude and aggressive. EDIT*** after reading other reviews it seems to be commonplace that the people working here including the manager are completely rude and unwelcoming. Even to someone in a wheelchair asking them to “fight” - these people are clearly insane??? Read up on the reviews on other websites, they’re much more honest with the absolutely AWFUL experiences that take place here. Disgusting behavior honestly.

was here for lunch today, and it was awful, sorry to say. Portabella burger mushroom was about the size of a 1/2 dollar, took 2 bites to get to it. It was supposed to have caramelized onions on it, but I never tasted any, or saw any when I decided to look. The sweet potato fries are advertised as crispy, they were soggy and cold, and this was not a take out, we ordered and ate right there. The regular fries were also cold, greasy and limp. Being used to crispy fries, I asked the staff if this was normal. It was explained to me that it depends on the temp of their oven . . . so I asked if that meant there was no consistency, didn't really get an answer to that. My wife had the spicy black bean burger. It was served cold, and was very bland. Would not recommend this place to anyone, too many other really good options in Portland to waste money here.
